Upon first walking in, we noticed the particularly lively atmosphere and appreciated the neon artwork spanned from wall to wall. We were sat down in a booth with no wait, and chips and salsa were brought to our table.
Food: The two others with me ordered the chicken fajitas and lettuce wrap tacos—which they found really good. I ordered the cheesesteak burrito. Upon taking the first bite of my burrito, I was met with a flavor saltier than the Dead Sea itself. I found myself chugging water through the meal just to balance out the salt intake. I was unable to pinpoint whether it was the steak or the cheese sauce, but just know if you order it, the dish is incredibly salty, which for me was unappealing.
Drinks: we started off with the margarita flight. I took one sip of each of them, none of which tasted very good. The drinks were best described as incredibly sweet with an aftertaste that had the familiar kick of a very low grade tequila. None of us wanted to finish them. Instead we figured we may have just gotten a bad batch of drinks, so we ordered two mojitos and a corona with lime. The mojitos’ taste was essentially just concentrated country time lemonade, low grade rum (again), and a hint of mint. Im usually the type of person that will drink most drinks, but these mojitos were truly unbearable. As with the margaritas, the mojitos sat on the table untouched.
Service: the service was fine all around—not stellar, not bad. Once we were finished with the food, I asked for some of the drinks to be taken off of the bill, the waitress brought her manager over immediately. I explained that the mojitos were not good, and asked if he could remove them from the bill. He first tried to persuade us to again try something else, but since we were already finished with our meal, he reluctantly agreed to take only one of them off of the check. Perhaps it was our fault for not making the problem known earlier, but regardless the drinks sat on the table with maybe a sip out of them.
Overall, mostly accommodating, food was 50/50, but the drinks were terrible. The whole experience felt like an adult chuck-e-cheese—good environment but not known for food/drink. I’m willing to try the place again, but I’m not...
Read moreWe have seen several TikTok videos about this place, mainly focusing on the dancing giant robot and various other characters who come out with music and dance around, and we have been looking forward to going for awhile now. Today being my birthday, we decided to go. I called ahead of time to ask about the times the robot and characters come out, (to be honest, this was the main reason we wanted to go). I was told the "entertainment" starts coming out around 6-6:30pm and then every half hour or so throughout the rest of the night. So we got there about 6:25pm and was seated immediately. Our service was actually great. We have no complaints about the service. However, when our food finally started to arrive, we had 2 in our party get their food first, and the other 2 people didnt get their food for about 15 minutes after the first 2 got theirs. And when the last 2 received their food, one of them was piping hot, the other was not even a little warm. Im guessing it was sitting waiting the whole time the other was being made. Aside from all that, when at 7:15 the "entertainment" had still not come out, I asked our waiter about it, and he looked at his watch and said "oh they should be coming out any time now". At 7:30 when they still hadn't come out, I asked, who looked to be a manager about it, and he said "maybe soon, I think he is working on the robots lights atm". By this time we were all finished with our meals, and so we waited as long as we could, but with an 8 year old autistic child, we could only wait so long. We finally had to leave at 7:55pm, obviously without getting to experience the "entertainment", which again, is the MAIN reason we chose to come here. So needless to say, we all left feeling VERY disappointed and not feeling good about the nearly $100 experience of visiting and eating here. My daughter cried all the way home and felt bad because she feels like my birthday was ruined due to not getting to enjoy what we had been planning for some...
Read moreSubject: Unacceptable Service Experience Dear El Asadero Management, I am writing to express my disappointment with the level of service I received during my recent visit on 3/5/25. My experience was far from satisfactory, and I feel it is important to bring this to your attention. Upon arriving at the restaurant at 7:30 PM, it took approximately 30 minutes before we were acknowledged and had our drinks taken. After ordering drinks, it took an additional 30-35 minutes to receive them. Following that, we placed our food order, which took about an hour to arrive. By the time we finished our meal, it was 9:30 PM, resulting in an overall experience much longer than expected or acceptable. Additionally, we were charged for taco toppings that were supposed to be complimentary. When we brought this issue to the attention of the manager, both the manager and the staff member present responded dismissively, laughing and citing the "Taco Tuesday" special and the fact that we were a "smaller party" as the reason. This response was unprofessional and dismissive, especially considering that the amount spent was comparable to that of larger parties. I believe all customers should be treated equally, regardless of party size, and this situation was not handled appropriately. The service was disappointing, and the lack of proper customer service further compounded the frustration. I expect a much higher standard of service from El Asadero, and I hope you will take the necessary steps to improve both the speed of service and the overall customer experience moving forward Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. I look forward to your response. Sincerely, A...
