I just want to state that I have never left a restaurant, store, or business a google review before. Tonight I'm literally so irritated with this restaurant that i made a google e-mail just to leave my review. So two nights ago I went through the drive-thru and ordered my food, paid for it, and drove off. I get home and my order is messed up, being that I've always been a vegetarian, no sorry i couldn't just pick off what i didn't want and go on my merry way. So I call up, a lady answers, I explained what happened. She first argues with me that she was the one who made my food and she knows for a fact she didn't mess it up. Well she did. So then she tells me that she will leave a note and to call back or come back up the next day..... okay.... so the next day I bring my receipt up and I am told i cant get a refund, they don't do that. A manager signed my receipt and said next time I come in I can have my food remade for free. SO THEN TONIGHT I go up to have my food remade ( WHY DIDN'T I CHECK THE BAG!) I get home and my food is messed up the exact same way again!!! ( how hard is it to make a bean and cheese sandwich plain? Beans:Cheese:Bun that's all.....) I call up again (I live not even a mile away), ask for the manager. Who is busy moving his car. The guy who answered then tells me that they are closed. (I understand that but again I had just left 4 mins prior and also again Beans:Cheese:Bun..) He tells me he will leave a note and to call back tomorrow. I told him I didn't even get a receipt. He then just replies with "well it was free anyways but you can still call tomorrow" ARE YOU...

Read moreI first tried Skyline Chili last year on the way back from a roadtrip...and now this year on my way to see family at Christmas as Dayton is a nice stopping point for my road west. I always wanted to try Cincinnati chili for a long time and when I did end up staying a night in Dayton I came over here and tried both a chili 3-way and a coney. More recently I had a chili 5-way, but still had a coney with it. The service, though a fast casual place like Steak 'n' Shake, is as quick as a fast-food place which I like. The atmosphere is a typical diner style affair so nothing too special here but the service was pretty good both times I came by. The restaurant is also clean with no major issues. Now, one's opinion on Cincinnati chili aside, I very much enjoy the unique flavor of it, especially in a chili 5-way. The flavor of the cinnamon and other spices give it a distinct warmth that normal chili doesn't have (moreso if you get the can from a nearby Meijer and make your own). Both times I've been, the chili was nice and hot, the noodles were able to hold the chili, beans, onions and the veritable mountain of shredded cheddar. The coneys are also very good with the buns nice and soft and the dogs are well cooked. Much like Runza in Nebraska, if you're in the area and are looking for a dining experience that's unique, definitely find a Skyline Chili...but don't blame me if end up grabbing a couple cans to take...
