It was our first time eating here and we weren't disappointed. We'd already seen some reviews mentioning the butter chicken, so we each decided to each try it. It was so good! We also shared the vegetable samosas (which were brought out with 3 delicious sauces) and the paneer naan, and I had a mango lassi with my meal. Everything was presented on or in very nice dishes. When we were finished, our server brought us a plate with a few complimentary jalebi, which were sweet and crisp circles of deliciousness. Speaking of our server, she was very attentive and kind. We will definitely be back. I can't wait to eat my leftovers tomorrow. :)
Editing to add that we've been here twice now and everything was still fantastic the 2nd time. However, I was reading through other reviews and saw one mention that they were never greeted and sat themselves, waited for 6 minutes, and left. The first time we went, we did have to walk all the way back to towards the door to the kitchen area before anyone saw us, and the second time there was someone standing at the bar area who got the attention of a server. But even that took a couple minutes. So that may need to be something they work on- I put it down to it being a new restaurant and they don't have a rhythm down yet. However, once you've gotten their attention, everything comes out pretty quickly and...
Read moreI ordered take out from Tandoor for the first time today, which consisted of chana masala, tomato soup, and naan. The order was ready about 10-15 minutes late, but not a big deal. The staff was friendly, and offered my wife a drink during the wait for the inconvenience. The chana masa came with a heaping serving of rice seasoned with caraway seeds, and was good overall. The tomato soup was seasoned nicely with various spices, and had a nice capsaicin level. Although the soup was good, it could have benefited from paneer or cream to make it richer. The serving size was a bit small for $4.60. My main complaint was that the naan was not good. Rather than being soft and buttery, it was tough, chewy, under-seasoned, and dry, giving it the quality of naan from the grocery store. I was a bit surprised by this. Based on other reviews, perhaps this batch was an anomaly. Overall, the staff was very friendly, the food was mostly good, albiet a bit pricey. I look forward to trying Tandoor again to see if next time...
Read moreMy wife and I went to this new Indian restaurant last night for a quiet dinner. The staff was super friendly and seated us right away. Our server knew everything about the menu and helped us order. We started with the chicken samosas, which came with these amazing sauces that were full of flavor. They even gave us a free Mango Lassi drink, which was a nice touch
For the main course, I had the Chicken Tikka Masala with a medium spice level #3 (1-6 is the range). The chicken was tender and juicy, and the sauce was delicious. It had just the right amount of heat. The rice was cooked perfectly, and the garlic Naan was light and flaky. My wife had the chicken soup and vegetable fried rice, which she loved. She said it was really flavorful and soothing
Overall, the restaurant was great. They've only been open for a month, but they're already doing a fantastic job. I hope the community supports them because they deserve it. You won't be...
