Gyro Center in Huber Heights is a family-owned Mediterranean fast casual cafe and eatery that serves a range of traditional, halal breakfast and dinner meals. Their interior is modern, clean, and small, but just the right size for guest sizes ranging from 1-12. There are a wide range of appetizers, soups, salads, wraps, desserts, drinks, and of course, main dishes. All items on the menu are halal. During my visit, I ordered the borek, iskender kabab, honey cake, and a Turkish coffee. The borek were crispy and filled with cheese. The meat of the iskender kabab was perfectly seasoned with a sweet, tasty sauce, and the layered honey cake was just as delicious as it looks in my picture! Be wary that the Turkish coffee is quite bold! Enjoyers of a strong, bitter coffee will love it, but it's not for the timid! It comes with a sweet treat to clean the palate.
Additionally, the staff at Gyro Center were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure that my dining experience was pleasant from start to finish. The prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality and portion sizes of the dishes. The cafe also offers takeout and catering services, making it a versatile option for any dining occasion. Overall, I think that Gyro Center is a great place to eat and well...
Read moreThis is the third time I’ve been here and they’ve completely changed their menu and the service was terrible. The first two times I came I loved the quality and portion of their meals. I ordered the same thing I ordered twice before, the chicken shawarma wrap, and the chicken was not same quality they used before and it was smaller. Honestly, the wrap just did not look appealing. My boyfriend ordered the chicken kebab and I can’t believe we paid almost $20 for what looked like half a small chicken breast, rice and veggies. My boyfriend was still hungry from his meal so he just ate my order. The sides on both of our meals were incorrect, and when I asked for the rice I ordered the woman stood awkwardly silent until I asked if I could have it and she was hesitate about bringing it to me. It was so awkward because she clearly rang up our sides wrong and she didn’t want to fix it. No one came to check on us during our meal. Our meal was served separately. It took so long to get our water. I wasn’t even given napkins. I watched the server literally sit on her phone behind the counter the whole time. I hope their portions, quality and customer service improves because we really loved this place...
Read moreI rarely ever write reviews but I had to for this one. Pita N More is my go to place to get gyros but it’s far. I was so hyped up about this place when I saw it on instagram and on top of that located close to where I live. Finally got the chance to try it a few days ago. Spent $30 for 2 beef gyros that came with waffle fries and to be honest it was very disappointing. Tasted very bland and there was barely any beef in it and the fries were okay and didn’t come with ketchup (I got carry out). It’s insanely expensive for the amount of food that was given. On top of that, when I first came in, the cashier wasn’t welcoming at all and just stared at me with a mean face. Definitely will be sticking with Pita N More (it’s literally a hidden gem). Big portions that taste amazing, great price and very friendly employees. So sad this place wasn’t...
