I wanna preface this by saying that I have done my time waiting tables and I try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but…
We were seated at a dirty booth that literally had a puddle of water across one entire booth seat and dishes still on the table. The host took the dishes but for some reason did not think to apologize, grab a rag, and quickly clean/sanitize the table or wipe down the seat. So my partner and I sat side-by-side for a while. We debated leaving and going to Rooster’s next door because it literally took 4 different people to finally get our table and second seat wiped down. We even asked to be moved as there were plenty of extra, clean, empty booths.
Oh well, it got fixed so we stayed. Then, the host decided to sit a table of 7 in a 4 person booth, near us and 2 other parties, despite the fact that there was a clean and open 8-person booth behind us and away from the three smaller parties.
It just all felt very inconsiderate towards all the guests involved. I noticed the large party gesturing at the empty, larger booth, probably also wondering why the host pulled up 2 chairs to a cramped corner rather than giving them more space to be comfortable in when it was RIGHT. THERE. And it definitely felt uncomfy with 7 customers and 3 employees trying to move about in the corner like that.
And to top it all of, it was apparently someones birthday, so on top of the loud music and the 15+ people seated within one small corner of the restaurant, someone from the bar decided to YELL for everyone to pay attention to the happy birthday song.
3/10 would not recommend. All I could do was think of my restaurant days (which weren’t that long ago) and cringe. I can hardly think of any more they could have done to make this experience less enjoyable.
At least the food was okay and came out fast. And drinks were decently stiff. And ny partner and I agreed our server wasn’t really the issue, it was the host. Or whoever was telling the host where to...
Read moreSomething has changed big time. I would go to Texas Roadhouse every chance I had because it was always sooooooo good and great prices. On 9/30/21 my daughter, granddaughter and I went there at about 6pm. I love my steaks so I ordered the sirloin steak with my usual house salad with ranch and a loaded baked potato. We also ordered pickles to be brought out before we ordered. Our waitress was nice, but she was like coming every minute to see if we were ready to order. I know they have a ton of people coming in but geesh. Then once we ordered it was the same thing with her. Im glad she checked on us but it was like overwhelming as we couldn't enjoy the food. It appeared they changed the chicken strips so my daughter was pleased. My granddaughter salad was supposed to be no croutons well she had plenty. She was given water twice and each time the cups had something floating in them. Normally I would make a big fuss. We did tell the waitress the first time then she got a fresh glass of water. I asked for my steak to be medium rare with very little pink. When I got it , it was not hot at all it was warm. It was dry and had no taste to it like it normally does. I told my daughter, what is going on with my favorite place to eat? I felt like they are starting to be more concerned with making money than serving quality food like they used too. Yes a manager came around to see if things were good. I didn't want to bring attention to us or send it back because then I would have to wait even longer. I just told my daughter I wont worry about it. I left there thinking about if I would go again honestly. If anything in your meal is not up too par, it throws off the whole meal. I would say in these trying times, please talk to your staff make sure that the order is taken and made right. Make sure your dishes are cleaned. I usually leave saying how good my meal was but not yesterday. It was...
Read moreTook 3 bites of my sandwich and noticed there was a large piece of paper (looked like paper that is usually to separate hamburgers or cheese from sticking) in my burger. It wasn’t even on my meat part, it was placed between my bun and lettuce, so it felt pretty intentional, which I hope it was more so than accidental because I don’t know how that’s possible for an accident like that to happen- I feel like that’s pure negligence atp. The server was kind but the manager acted as if it was no big deal and didn’t say sorry or anything (we aren’t ones to make a big deal out of food incidents but looking back at it, we should’ve made a wayyyy bigger deal than what we did). The manager was so cheap that she only took off my meal, and didn’t handle my fiances meal as well (which was only $15). A good manager would’ve handled a measly cheap dinner especially over an health and safety food incident like that. Service gets a 3 ONLY because of how the manager handled it, otherwise my server was great. Food gets a 2 because the fries & rice were good, other than that I feel it’s pretty self explanatory. Also, my fiances steak was dryer than the desert. Ts took about 3 solid minutes of chewing before you could choke it down. Overall, pretty disappointed the more I think about how the manager could’ve easily handled it to actually make it seem like she cared. (By the way, the server told us the kitchen manager was actually back there, so that’s clearly a concern if this is happening with them there).
Also weird how most of the time, absolutely any negative reviews receive no feedback, but most of the 5 star reviews do. Not sure if it’s even a manager thing that they act like they don’t care, but it seems like an owner...
