Awful, embarrassing, ashamed...I have been coming for 3 years and this was worse than waiting at Malloryâs for 20 minutes after being seated before someone checking in and asking what we wanted to drink. The sad part is that our waitress was one of the âmanagersâ and has waited on us before in the past. I had to go to the bar and get a drink after the first round because I literally waited 15 minutes and there was no one in sight. Even the bartender, who knows us well, busted my balls for wanting to get my beer put on my tab...meanwhile our server is at the end of the bar waiting with arms folded, laughing and conversing with other servers...there was another young bartender on staff who wasnât busy at all as she waited, hands on hips, and watched the other bartender work. So were they busy, absolutely, but not abnormally for BWâs. I watched my server, along with two other servers - who looked and dressed like they were in charge and âmanagersâ, stood at the end of the bar with arms folded and joked it up constantly while I was there. One of the servers/managers, bald and looks like he lifts trucks for a little living, constantly checked on the table to out immediate left where there was an older, fairly attractive female who had a business meeting there and something to do with BWâs....Iâm telling you that table got checked 4 times more than we did. He walked by us several times and could plainly see we were waiting for something, anything...then stand arms folded next to end of bar and wait. Meanwhile the server to our immediate right had a group of 20 in front if us and also had the table to the right...although that service was not much better, hands down way better than ours. As stated, we have been there before and I know for a fact servers/managers there know us and know that we are patient, courteous, and my daughters are disciplined...and we tip well. Our server/manager got a penny to know she wasnât forgotten. Itâs was embarrassing and infuriating at the same time...how can a nationally renowned food chain operate like this...or is it the new generation and their work ethic, lack of urgency and common sense. What the heck is happening to the Hudson BWubs?! Problem is everyone who worked displayed the same traits aforementioned. Brutal...embarrassing...They should be ashamed of themselves, especially said managers, but nothing will happen. What will happen is me not going there...
Read moreWe went to this location last night and were less than pleased with the food quality and management. There was a table of four of us, we ordered our food, and everything after that was downhill. My wrap with fries was the first to arrive, my fries were cold but I refrained from saying anything because we were starving. After we waited an additional 15 minutes my fiances BOGO wings came out, both cold. Another 15 minutes went by and our friends bone-in wings and appetizer came, the app was requested to be out before the wings. Our server came over and informed us it was last call for drinks, we asked her if she had any idea when the fourth persons food would be coming. She said she would go and check in the kitchen, she came back 10 minutes later to let us know the kitchen is working on it and her manager would be over. We cancelled his order since it has been almost an hour of waiting for a 10 piece order of BOGO wings. We waited another 10 minutes for the manager to arrive. When he finally got there there was no apology, no ownership taken of the situation, and only excuses provided. He stated that they bring the food out when it is up in the kitchen so that is why orders are staggered. He also said he was busy with the rest of the restaurant and he couldn't get here sooner. Again there was zero apology, the only compensation given was to take the wings off that our friend never received, and then he left. I will say our server was very nice and was overly apologetic. Our entire dining experience took two hours for one of ours friends never to get his food. I have worked in the industry as a manager for years and try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt but this situation and the way it was handled left a very bad taste in my mouth. I was very disappointed in the lack of empathy, lack of communication, and lack of care for our situation from the manager. These are hard times and we try to eat out at least once a week but we will be taking our business elsewhere after...
Read moreFor the love of God, avoid this place like the plague (the next one, which, may originate from here).
We stopped there last week after a show in Minneapolis. My expectations were low. Just some middle of the road fried food on the way home. We got the appetizer sampler. Some of it was actually inedible. There were two things that resembled hockey pucks that I think they were supposed to be onion rings that didnât have the hole punched through them. When you peeled them apart, the coating was raw on the inside. It looked disgusting. The boneless wings were over fried and the sauce tasted like it came from a jar. The mozzarella sticks were worse than anything youâd buy in the frozen food section. The margarita drink, I had, though, wasnât bad.
The service was awful. After sitting there for 10 minutes and no one coming to our table, I wondered if we should just leave. It wouldâve been the better plan. There were only like nine people in the place and it seemed like they wanted no part of us being there.
But, worse than all that, was the bathroom. Oh. My. God. Now, letâs be honest, restaurant, bathrooms, or any public bathroom, really, arenât places where youâd want to spend a lot of time. The menâs bathroom look like it hadnât been cleaned in literally weeks. The urinals were pissed stained, the floor was straight out of a 1970s horror movie, and the sinks had crap piled up in the drain. At that moment, I shouldâve ran for my life.
The good news is, I didnât get food poisoning or a staph infection. Iâm not sure how. After this experience, I feel lucky...
