This morning had to been one of the worst experiences we’ve had at Perkins in Hudson, WI. None of the staff were communicating with each other, the servers were not able to manage their designated areas accordingly, and the staff kept touching their masks and adjusting them, then proceed to serve food without washing their hands. Dishes were NOT clean, stuff floating in drinking glasses, dirty cutlery, and food slopped over the side of bowls. I ordered the 6oz. Sirloin and Eggs, side of fruit no potato no toast. Food was cold, she served Rye toast with my meal, later served the bowl of fruit which consisted of just honey dew and cantaloupe (what happened to a variety of fruit?), and I took one bite of the steak and knew right away that it was not safe to eat. It appeared as if it had not been stored at the proper temperature, it had definitely gone bad. I addressed my concern to the server, she acknowledged that the food was not good, chatted a little about personal related topics, and then said “So everything is good here then?” NO! Everything was not good, the food was not edible! She did not express our concern to anyone, just brought us our check and said “Have a good day.” We observed meals being served to the wrong people, water being spilled on a customer as the server hurried herself to try to keep up, unnecessary multiple trips to each table instead of making sure to bring everything out at the same time, and food being served to couples one at a time instead of all at once. Due to a scheduled activity in our neighboring town of River Falls I have been visiting their Perkins on a regular basis until their recent closure I missed not being able to have my weekly Perkins breakfast so decided to try Hudson's. I was so very disappointed!! Although the interior surpassed that of River Falls and the food was very similar; the appearance and perceived attitude of the staff was very unlike that of the River Falls personnel. At Hudson we were not greeted.. it was " How Many?" and no choice of where we would like to sit or what beverage we would like to start out with. She looked extremely worn out and sad. The waitress was similar with no greeting or introduction and appeared rushed and abrupt. When served our meal, she didn't ask if there was anything else we wanted or needed. My son requested toast and she was very quick to point out that it wasn't part of the meal he ordered. She never did return to pick up my payment. Read moreThere were five of us three adults two boys ages 6 and 7 . We arrived about 11:20am waited at least ten or more minutes before we were greeted and seated. There was plenty of seating in the main dining area but we were seated in the back room which was completely empty of customers.our drink order was taken right away but it took at least 15 minutes to get our drinks and then the server said she would be right back to take our order which was another fifteen minutes. After placing our order it was 20 minutes before we received our food and at no time not once were we offered refills on our drinks or asked if our food was good or if we needed anything. We needed napkins and refills which we never received. We had to ask twice for our bill and that was if we even saw our server. The food was good and the temperature was good but the service was awful. Had it not been for the boys being so hungry we would have left after waiting 30 minutes to be seated and order our food.
