The worst dining experience I ever had. On 5/30/2021 around 8:30pm me and my family was escorted to the table by the hostess and left there. We waited for our waitress for over 20 minutes, but we finally waved down another waiter from another table to see if they could find our waitress and to get the manager. Finally got the manager and the waitress after another 5 minute wait. We were escorted to our table and wasn't greeted by our waitress, wasn't check on by a manager, just left sitting there talking amongst ourselves. So the waitress and manager finally took our drink order and it took them awhile to bring them back to us, between 2 and 10 minutes to receive all of our drinks. I believe the manager and waitress need more training on how to take drink and food order from customers, how not to reach over other patron or ask another patron to pass a drink to a customer. Me and my wife was the last to receive our frozen margaritas drink by the manager. I was always trained to inspect glass and plates before be served to a customer. As soon as the manager placed my wife drink down, I noticed a long Crack in the side of my wife glass. So I called back the manager and let her know that there a crack in this margarita glass. She didn't apologize for the mistake and take the glass away, but instead took the glass and began to inspected the glass in a brighter light to see if she could find the crack. I found that to be very unprofessional on the manager part. It took another 10 minutes or longer for the waitress to come and take our dinner order. It was a party of 9 and the waitress took all of our orders. They began to bring out all of the food and people began to eat,but my food was never brought out. My stepdaughter asked if I had ordered and I told her yes, so she waved down the waitress and informed her I haven't received my food and she came down to ask what was my order. I gave her my order again and she went and put it in, and a few minutes later after serving the food and retaking my order she brought back the check for the table. This was the worst and the most unprofessional dining experience I have ever had in my life. The manager and her team should be embarrassed on the level of customer service that was displayed. But it didn't seem to bother the manager about all of the complaints she was receiving from us,but I guess because it was so close to closing time it didn't matter what we complained about it went on deaf ears. The quality of food was very poor, we sent back most of the food that was ordered. The level of service was the worst dining experience I ever had in my local area. Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen in Humble, TX will never see any business from me or my...
Read moreWe had the WORST experience here. We recieved a new employee, which, we always try to give a little more patience than usual, because they are still learning. This employee, while brand new, had no one working with him. (Usually they pair up with a senior server) He asked for our drink order, two kids drinks, a tea and a drink from the bar, we also ordered a spinach dip at the same time. Then we wait. Twenty minutes goes by, our dip comes out, but no drinks, and we do not see our waiter reemerge from the kitchen until he walks out another 10 minutes later with our drinks, minus the bar drink. So it took him 30 minutes to pour a tea and two milks. At this time we point out to him that there is actual plastic wrap melted into the cheese on our spinach dip. I've pulled out a large chunk and don't want to risk eating it. He says they microwave it with plastic wrap on it and some probably got stuck, which he thinks is a sufficient response, I ask him for a different one. He, again, disappears with our spinach dip in tow, as well as our entree order, and is no where to be seen for another 25 minutes. He brings a new spinach dip out, and leaves. No refills, no apology, no nothing. He reappears to take the order of the people behind us, and disappears again. We don't see him for another 15 minutes. He comes by, asks my husband if he'd like another drink, which he did, and he places the order. My husband ordered the steak and ribs special for the night, and when our food does finally show up, no ribs are present. We are frustrated at this point, but he tries to explain that he asked for the ribs as well, which the server wrote down, but the server only ordered the steak. At this point, we attempt top flag our server down to get the check and he hardly ever comes out on the floor. I track down a manager to get our bill, when the second drink my husband ordered shows up. Its 9:00 pm on a Saturday at this point, my kids are melting down, and we are exhausted having traveled all that day. We waited well over an hour and a half to eat food with plastic in it, one refill on all drinks and half the food missing. They tried to make it right by cutting out the kids meals and drinks on our receipt, but I would still never...
Read moreWhile Cheddars looks like a nice place to dine, the food and the service take this location off of my "places to dine" list. So, after visiting Cheddars the first time, getting food poisoning was NOT my cup of tea. I originally thought it was the medication I was on, but once I tried it a second time, I'm not convinced it was my medicine. My second visit to the Humble location confirmed my dislike of this location. When we got there, there were 4 people standing at the hostess station. Not one of them said hello or looked like they were happy to see us. Mind you, the place was not busy. Once we got seated, it took forever to get our drink order. After sitting there for about 15 minutes, someone finally acknowledged we were there. Next, after getting our drink order, another woman came by to get our order. Now she looked about as happy to wait on us, as the hostess did, which made us feel even more unwanted. She took our order and then disappeared. Y'all, it took forever to get our food!!! Mind you, everyone else around us is getting their drinks, their food, and attentive service. As I pay closer attention, I think I realize what the situation is. It was partially the color of our skin. I HATE to blame anything on race, but this time, I am certain this was part of the issue. We were the only ones different from the waitstaff and the other customers. We finally got our food, mine is cold. Like it had been sitting on a countertop cooling off before being brought to the table. Once again, the food has no flavor. I was scared to eat it and reluctant to ask for a fresh plate. We were so put off by this location that we were reluctant to ask for anything. We couldn't even get a drink refill. So, anytime you're in Humble and you wish to visit Cheddars, don't. Just save yourself from the animosity it will cause. Not all Cheddars locations are piss poor as this one. But if you do decide to eat there, if Diamond is your waitress, ask for another or save yourself the trouble and just go next door to Black Bear or Olive Garden. Thanks for reading my review!! I...
