If I could give it 0 stars, I would. Let me first start off by saying that this pollo loco is completely atrocious compared to the original Mexican ones... Hell even the ones in San Antonio are much better. When we first arrived, our attention was immediately drawn onto how irresponsible the staff was and how dry the chicken was. As I looked through the menu, I just laughed in complete shock as to how damn expensive the items on the menu were. I ordered a burrito as well as a salad for my mother. When I bit into it, I was disgusted with how dry and how messy the food was as well as how hard and disgusting the tortilla tasted. My mothers salad came with some "cilantro" dressing that tasted nothing like the name implies; it was more of a guacamole with expired sour cream. I let my nephew order a burrito but he didn't want some of the things it included and they messed up the order not once, but twice. As he bit into it, I saw that he was about to vomit and I saw why: there was hot sauce that we asked they didn't put. Out of curiosity, I asked the manager " why is the food so expensive?" And was responded with a very stupid answer and a rude tone. Service is no good and for those who thinks its good Mexican food; I hope that you still have the decency to go at least to a taco stand and have the same amount of food with better taste for a huge fraction of the price. I will never be back to this pollo loco and I hope I can save some of you from...
Read moreWhat amazing...I mean amazing service and food me and my family received today. This location is very clean from the outside and presentable with the landscaping. The service through the drive thru was beyond excellent. The young lady was very professional and very patient. She was extremely kind and was very helpful with my huge order for my family of 5. Once I approached the window to make my payment I saw every employee wearing all proper PPE to make customers like me feel safe. Everyone had their masks and gloves on and it made me feel at ease. My food was given to me very neatly in 2 bags. The food at this location is and was very delicious with great sized portions...this location is not stingy at all. Im blown away on how great our food was and how well it was cooked. The chicken was delicious and had a very beautiful skin color to it and the mac and chesse is very delicious I mean delicious alomg with the mash potatoes. Read moreNearly all of my post provide positive feedback for a business, not today. I used to boast about El Pollo Loco located at 9540 FM 1960, service, food, cleanliness was always exceptional. Today I waited patiently at the drive-thru for 12 mins after being asked to hold on for a moment just to order, it’s the 3rd time in a month I had to wait after pulling up to the menu to order. Giving the benefit of the doubt that maybe something is wrong. I pull up to the window, and notice nothing wrong, just a slow, uninterested, employee at the window with an attitude. I ask if the manager was available and was told that she only speaks Spanish. . .THE MANAGER ONLY SPEAKS SPANISH. I parked and went inside, and the manager came out and identified herself, and immediately said I only speak Spanish.
So they need employee training as well as better management. The manager was polite, the restaurant was clean, and there were plenty workers available. I just find it hard to believe a store manager in a country where the official language is English on June 20, 2020, cannot speak English. How can she address issues that may arise with customers, most of which do not speak Spanish? If that is company policy I apologize for singling out the manager, but it...
