My wife and I are generally big fans of Inizio Pizza, but had a fairly unsettling customer experience at this location. We ordered a pizza to go and asked for a side of pesto at the time of ordering. The guy at the register typed in the side of pesto. When we got in the car and realized the side of pesto was not included, I walked back in with my receipt. At this point, I was kind of hoping for a brief apology and a “here’s your pesto” and I was off on my merry way. However, the same guy who originally placed our order made no apology and sheepishly told us the pesto would need to be extra (he never charged us for it to begin with). Trying to be understanding, I accepted to pay and I was charged $4.33 for the side of pesto. Here is the problem: if you never charged me for the side of pesto to begin with, it should come free. And if I do pay for a side of pesto, $4.33 seems very steep! I would have been okay with him apologizing for the mix up, explaining that they normally charge for extra sauce but this time it’s on the house, and instead asking me if I want to pay for it giving me a heads up how much it will cost. All in all, great pizza as always but a bad customer service experience on this visit that ultimately soured...

PROBLEM: Hello, I bought a Vodka Pesto pizza! They served me cheese with pesto sauce on top, (MISSING BASIL, RED SAUCE) I told someone that this pizza wasn't what I had ordered before, and they called the “manager”. The “manager” only glanced at it and said if they combined it and the pizza was completely white. I told her it's the only pizza I've ever bought here, it's always been the same, and I know this is not it. She explained to me how the pizza is prepared😏, and I told her she's not correct, and the taste is totally different. She said the flavor had changed. Everyone wanted to leave, and they served the pizza wrong, and they didn't want to fix the problem either.

Any restaurant can make mistakes, but being lied to directly, saying that everything is correct when IT IS NOT, that really feels awful. THE PROBLEM ISN'T THE PIZZA OR THE PIZZA PRODUCT; it's that they lie to your face.
