After a long hiatus feom visiting Taco Bell, I decided to give it a try as I was craving crunchy tacos. First impressions were that the restaurant was extremely unkempt and there was dirt and food everywhere. Every table was dirty and had not been cleaned. There was no one in the restaurant when I arrived, and no staff at the counter to attend to customers. My visit was at 2:30 in the afternoon, definitely not a busy time.
I ordered my tacos and a grilled cheese and steK burrito (a new item for me).
As I waited for my food, I got my beverage, and the soda fountain was dirty- soda and water everywhere, and the mat in front of the machine on the floor was filled with food and dirt.
The video screens that were to let kids play had been removed, and exposed wires were visible.
The food was what I expected it to be. However, the tacos seem to have less beef and more lettuce than I remember. My three tacos, one burrito, and a beverage ran me more than $15, so definitely not a bargain, and questionable worth what I paid for it. The flavor was what I expected, and the Grilled Chese Steak Burrito tasted alright.
The employees went on break while I was eating, and were perfectly content sitting at a fithy table to eat their own meals. In the roughly 30 minutes I spent at the restaurant, no one attempted to clean anything in the dining area, beverage area, or restrooms.
The food prep area had food on the floor, and was not cleaned during my stay. The restaurant was effectively empty with the exception of myself and a couple of customers who came in and out.
My take aways are:
The value that Taco Bell used to represent when I was in college isn't there- there are plenty of fast food restaurants where I can spend well under $15 and leave satisfied.
This particular restaurant has ownership and/management that seems to not care about customer experience or satisfaction, and it shows.
I do not recommend eating at this establishment, just keep driving a block or two and enjoy a higher...
Read morePoor communication service , one of the cashiers here have miscommunication issues when I went to make a order here someone was before but wasn't next to the line to pay so I went to place my order and the cashier said " you cut her off " so I apologize to the person " I thought you placed your ordered go before me sorry about that " so then I went after then the same cashier almost got my order wrong when I ordered a HH drink to a baja freeze and I had to correct him , though manager here did not resolve issues professionally mannerly , I told the manager normally when someone goes to place a order generally they place an inch away from the cashier table and I thought that person paid already since wasn't standing even near the cashier table , they need to work more on communication skills better. Also the customer in front of me was okay about it as soon as I explaining her i was thinking she already...
Read moreCame through to get my free Taco Bell Chalupa Box. Was super happy as I had not eaten that entire day and was looking foward to nothing other than getting a free box. Lady tells me they're outta bread for the chalupa. Okay, no big deal. I ask if I can substitute it, what she says is that she can give me everything but the chalupa. I ask again if I can subsitute the chalupa. She says no.
Then ontop of that, theyre outta baja blast.
I think its just dissapointing to know that had i went down the street to the other taco bell, I wouldve got everything in my order instead of wasting my coupon and getting less than I was offered coming here. :/
update on the food
I guess I see why its free... Burrito was basically Bean and Cheese with some sauce in it. Cinnamon Twists were stale and hard.
