Rodeo Mexican Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Huntsville

Ate here 1/11/19 for lunch with my wife, father, and step mother and non of us were happy. I liked it 4 years ago when I lived around the area but they have gone down since then. My wife and I ordered the crispy tacos and my dad a burrito and honestly we all thought the meat tasted like dog food. They asked where we were from and when I said Michigan for my wife and I the waitress said it's because we dont know what real tex-mex food tastes like. I'm sorry my wife loves Mexican and we eat at Mexican restaurants all over. We've lived in Texas, Alabama, Kentucky, and here in Michigan. Thihis is the worst o e we have ever ate at. They use potatoes as a filler in the meat taking away all the flavor. My step mother ordered I believe burrito vegal or something like that with vegetables in it and also wasnt pleased. When we said we weren't happy they told us they won't give us 3 meals free and then came back with my bill and said they were charging us for 3 chips and salsa even though the chips and salsa are free and we only had 2. I'd understand if they said they would give half off on our 6.99 lunch meals but not charge 3.99 for free chips. Now the kicker is how does 1 meal of 6.99, 2 chips of 3.99 since I got them to take 1 off and 2 pops of 6.00 and up to an almost 29 dollar bill? If I could give a half star or...

Worked 12 hours straight on Thursday and stopped in here to eat dinner before heading home around 6pm. Waiter comes over immediately and asks if I've decided. I told him no, I just sat down. He got an attitude and didn't show back up at the table for a long long time. When he did come back over, I ordered an avocado salad and pointed to the picture of it on the menu. Then I said I didn't see the price of it, and he angrily takes the menu and points at the appetizers and says it's right there. I ordered a half and he immediately comes back with something that doesn't look anything like what I ordered. I asked another waiter what he thought, and told him I ordered this, and pointed to the item. He said no, that's a totally different thing. So at this point, I'm all kinds of worn out from dealing with little people who have big attitudes, so I told him I'm just going to leave and asked him if that'd be ok instead. He said yes. I walked out....

I have been here several times and honestly and never satisfied. I feel I have tried this place enough to develop an opinion about it. I don’t like leaving reviews if i’ve only tried it once because everyone has off days! However it’s the same all the time. The salsa is decent, I like the green sauce! Queso is a waste of money in my opinion. Always served cold and have to get reheated. I usually get the Chicken enchiladas with sour cream sauce but it’s very bland. Rice is pretty good, beans always seemed over cooked. Kids are not fans, the order pizza and didn’t take but one bite!? That’s not normal! They said it’s just gross! The one sure fire entree is the Chicken Quesadillas. Can’t meet up on those right! All and all the prices are fair and the fact they give free ice cream 🍦 makes the ending a bit better! However Not at all my first choice, actually not my choice at all I only will go if meeting someone and they choose it. JESUS LOVES...
