I had a very poor experience here long ago where I was neglected by the server and I felt the overall value of the food and quantity of food was below average.
But recently I revisited for dinner with my girlfriend because everything around was packed thanks to the McGreggor fight. And I had one of my absolute best dining experiences. The food was outstanding (the classic burger cooked medium and the brisket), the service was terrific and the wait was minimal (mostly because everyone was at Dave and Busters and any other sports bars that may have aired the fight).
The burger was big, cooked to perfection and delicious. The fries are real and quite tasty. And the brisket was awesome. I will say though the first order was very fatty and was served with the house/signature barbecue sauce which I did not like. I asked if I was supposed to be offered a choice of sauces and they responded by bringing me a whole new plate of brisket (in addition to my current plate which I was OK with but not thrilled). The second plate was much leaner and more appetizing and the white sauce was a thousand times better than the generic tasting house sauce.
The little cheese bisquits are a fun little guilty pleasure. And we shared a peach tea which was rather good too. Refreshing and sweet with real peaches. If you get this you may want to do half sweet/unsweet mix otherwise it would be way to sweet.
Overall great experience and thinking about it still weeks later is making me very hungry. I look forward to going...
Read moreArrived at restaurant at 8pm. This is a little late, but would have expected immediate seating. Waited right beside host/hostess stand for about 6 solid minutes before a young man ran up to us and apologized for "not seeing us" Did I mention it was about 8pm and there were only about 20 other people in the entire restaurant? After being seated, the waitress was very prompt with drink orders, muffins, and taking our order. Big plus. Very attentive waitress. Went to men's room and noticed the only closed stall was Out Of Order. Thank goodness my visit did NOT necessitate a Stall visit. I did notice that there were pieces of trash all over the floor and that the trash can was over flowing. I then also noticed that there were pieces of trash all over the walk way to the bathroom and on the floor in the dining area. Also noticed that several of the tables still had dishes and glasses still on them (needed to be bussed) I ordered BBQ chips as one of my sides. I was told they were out of chips. I then ordered mashed potatoes and "fresh fruit" Soon afterwards, the waitress returns to tell me they are put of mashed potatoes and that the fresh fruit is watermelon. This place had vinegar based sauce. Literally 3 buildings down is another BBQ place with vinegar based sauce. I am unclear how this place actually stays in business. I predict this place will be closed by...
Read moreMy first visit the service and food were very good, the place was busy so it took too long for the food to be served. We all ordered brisket sandwiches and since the brisket is cooked in advance there should not have been such a long wait, but the food was good when it finally arrived. Since it was very good, I went back a week later with my sister; the return visit not quite as good, terrible actually. The brisket sandwich was tiny and very light on the brisket, barely any meat, simply a small piece of meat inside two buns and nothing else. The fries were soggy with grease, limp, lifeless, and cold. My sister ordered a loaded baked potato, unbearably dry and not quite loaded, in fact the toppings were practically non existent, their food is not cheap, but they are a walking advertisement for Burger King. We will NOT be making a return visit to this place, absolutely not worth a third visit, if you combine the long wait, the slow service, and the outrageous price for a tiny piece of meat on a boring dry bun, I did give two stars though, because I sent the fries back and the waitress acted like they doing me a huge favor by not charging me them. So, to sum it all up, I absolutely do NOT recommend this place, but You never know, one visit great them the second terrible, sort of like a game of chance. Good luck on your visit, you...
