Moe's Original BBQ — Restaurant in Huntsville

So disappointed. Sorry for the rant but I don't take sexual harassment lightly and it burns me up that a professional establishment overlooks sexual harassment by it's patrons. My friend and I went into Moe's Original Bar B Que in Huntsville (445 Providence Main St) this evening for dinner. She walked in ahead of me while I was grabbing my purse and things. I entered through the bar area and when I walked in, a man approached me and said "this is yoga class". I said "excuse me"? (He was clearly drunk). He said "this is yoga class, are you up for some downward dog"? I had no response, I was taken aback and has absolutely no response for that..... I froze. Then he laughs and says "get it?...... downward dog"? I said "yeah, I get it" and walked off. When I went to the register, I explained to the lady what he had said. The cashier said the manager had just asked if he needed to be cut off and the bartender said "no, not yet". Then she said she would handle it. I told my friend we would just sit outside. So we go to the patio area and 2 minutes later this lady comes out screaming the guys name (I guess he had went outside as well) and screams "you just got us in trouble cause some girl just complained about you asking her to do downward dog". My friend gets up and ask the lady "excuse me, are you making fun of us". Then the lady comes over and says "that's my boyfriend, if he said something inappropriate, I will punch him in the throat, what did he say to you"? (CLEARLY she knew cause she just announced it to the whole world and now everyone was staring at us). I told her I didn't appreciate her making light of his sexual harassment and that the conversation was over. See kept pressing, so I told her. She walked off and yelled "hey baby, I can't even punch you in your throat cause I don't see what these ladies are mad about". We go in and talk to the manager. He giggles and says "I must not understand what y'all are saying cause I don't see what the problem is. We told him NUMEROUS times! Just then, our food comes up, o told him we were not going to eat there because not only did he not do anything about the sexual harassment, he allowed them to humiliate us afterwards. At the end, we walked out with no refund and the manager laughing. As a victim of sexual assault, this has shook me to this has shook me to the core. I mean...... this happened HOURS ago and I am STILL very upset! I will be calling the general manager, the franchise owner and corporate. I called the providence location and placed an order at 12:00 for pickup at 5:30. I ordered the wing tray of 35, side of sting beans, baked beans and corn. I arrived and immediately paid for my food, the young lady called back my name to the back to the guys in the kitchen. There were several employees that were behind the counter taking shots and joking and didn’t seem to be concerned by the customers. I waited 30 minutes before I went back to the counter and inquired about my order. The kitchen had never even started on my order at all, and I was told it would be a few minutes after waiting 10 minutes I asked for an manger, Scott came with no concern and stated they over looked my order,, I explained to him what time my order was made and I arrived, paid, and waited on my order and nonchalantly he just responded he gave me a couple of extra pieces of chicken and cornbread. I explained that I had an event and people coming in from out of town which looked very unprofessional on my part. The lady at the counter gave me $5.00 coupons but an refund was never suggested. Once leaving the restaurant I immediately called the other location to get another mangers number, I was given another manger number and left a message on his voicemail. Once arriving to Athens, my order wasn’t even all in the bag, I immediately called back and spoke to Scott and his response was I will give you some on your next visit. I placed this order five hours prior to picking it up, paid for the items and waited almost an hour, paid almost 70.00 and didn’t receive all my order. Since I moved here in May this has been one of my absolute favorite places to eat but after today and experiencing such unprofessional service I will not return or recommend. I ask that you please stress to your staff the importance of customer service and better and proper communication.

This is the second time we have visited this location and today was the worst. We did not see that their score was an 83 until after we placed our order. On top of that service was awful. The freezer was broken so they were out of catfish, shrimp, ribs, tenders, salads, and slaw. I ordered the chicken nachos and banana pudding. The chicken on the nachos were cold and the cheese was stuck on the chips. I asked for more cheese due to the cheese was cold and wanted to warm my nachos up with warm cheese. That was a mistake because it wasn't the warmest and the lady was not friendlywhen i asked. My boyfriend ordered smoke chicken plate with potato salad, turnip greens, and peach cobbler. The chicken was not the warmest and the greens and potato salad on a scale of 1-5 he gave it a 3. We will give thumbs up for the peach cobbler and banana pudding. The drink station literally had an out of order sign on 5 of the drinks and the tea was old. We are tea drinkers and we could tell it had been sitting there for awhile. We will not visit this location again and recommend that the health inspector visits this location soon. It's ashame that we work hard for our money and have to pay for this...
