Kind of 50-50 on this place the food was great! Which will be the only reason I go again but I feel the service lacked a lot. Went to dinner with a friend and was there for two hours, majority of that time was spent on waiting for our server. Never in my life I had to wait 30 minutes to get a bill especially after plates were already taken from the table was told we were done and ready. Mind you all the servers were sitting in a booth, a little way down from us, smoking hookah and she’s right there with them. Never have I been in an establishment where I seen servers sit around and do nothing. I feel if that 12% gratuity was not included. Service would be better but since it is, they feel like they don’t have to try and be a good server because they’ll get a tip anyway. I believe Sands of Sahara has a lot of potential. It was just a bit overhyped in my opinion. The servers are extremely nice, and the owner is warm and welcoming great hospitality overall. However, the kitchen lacks consistency and they often run out of key products, which can really affect the dining experience. The security also comes off as overly aggressive, which doesn’t match the otherwise inviting atmosphere. I always have a great time at Sands. It's my after work hideout. The owners are welcoming and professional. The staff ALWAYS makes sure I'm good❤️ Chef Fields makes sure my food is always on point.
