So disappointed in Lucy’s pizzeria in Ammon.
Ordered a Zestipan calzone no pineapple and it tasted awful. The ranch was gross, possibly someone did in fact put the pineapple on it and then took it off. Sure it is my taste preference and I nicely asked them to remake it or make something different. The nice waitress said yeah, and asked the general manager. This general manager came to the table and was rude, short tempered and clearly emotional. She came to the table and without even apologizing, said that they have THE BEST produce of fresh ingredients and fresh housemade ranch, because she inspects it and orders it. She said that they made 5 other zestipans and no one complained, therefore it was not her problem. So, needless to say, she refused to remake it or make a different item. Defending the fact that her employees do a good job making the pizza. I’m sure they do their best but it wasn’t up to par. Tonight it was wrong and just plain awful. I didn’t want the pizza and the manager threw it away, but still charged me for it because I ‘ordered it that way’. They must be desperate for the profit off of a $10 calzone. The manager must have personally made my calzone because she was sooooo offended by my complaints. You have to put aside emotions in business, take care of your customer and they keep coming back.
So beware if the S. Hitt Lucy’s location they do not operate with customer satisfaction in mind. Completely unprofessional or untrained management and questionable tasting food.
I could even hear the cooks laughing in the back as I sat at my table waiting for my daughters to go box. Just another pizza place with shitty...
Read moreI walked in hoping for a nice local pizza joint and I'd heard good things about their sandwiches. It was just before noon on a Thursday and the place was almost deserted, but I've had great experiences in places like that before, so I kept my hopes up.
Despite the sparse clientele, our server wasn't around much after taking our order. The bread sticks arrived a bit slower than I figured, but again, not a big deal. Unfortunately, they were also largely flavorless and still quite doughy and the 1.5 oz. cup of marinara was both too small and too mediocre to make up for it.
The sandwiches took a geologic age to arrive. All the while, our server was busy but the kitchen staff, in full view of the restaurant, sat around talking. Even after our server let us know that the sandwiches were just getting the cheese all melty it took around 5-10 minutes for them to make it to the table.
The meatball and sausage & pepper subs were toasty and cheesy, just like we hoped they would be. The chicken parmesan sub, however, tasted funny and when I looked into it, it was because the chicken had been burned. To their credit, the staff took that sandwich off the bill, but it was still a disappointment. I'll post a photo if I can figure out how.
Overall, our visit was completely underwhelming. In a location that should be slammed during lunch, I could see why most of the tables remained open and only a trickle of take-out business came through the door while we were there. Idaho Falls has come a long way in the past ten years, and there are a lot of good lunch options out there. I wish I could say that Lucy's could be counted among them but after this visit...
Read moreNot super impressed. We went with a big group, so automatically we all knew it would take longer to get our food, however when it started to arrive, several of the orders were wrong, and one order didn’t even arrive until 30 minutes afterwards, even though she had placed her order 5 minutes after the initial order. So below are my list of issues:
I ordered honey garlic wings, hot wings came out. And a few other orders were also wrong.
The wait for our orders was an extremely long wait, even taking into consideration we were in a group of 15.
When cleaning a bathroom, that also includes the base of the toilet, someone needs to give the cleaning crew a lesson on bathrooms.
The menu prices are incorrect, when I was told my total I pointed this out. I was then told “the correct pricing is on our to go menu’s but our new in house menus haven’t arrived yet.” Solution to this problem, 1) hand out to go menus for the time being or 2) Change the pricing in your computer system to reflect menu pricing, once you have the correct pricing on the menus, then roll out the changes to offer your customers. Blindsiding them at checkout is extremely rude.
Also a better computer system in general might serve well, since the computer had issues, we were asked if we could wait an extra 5-10 minutes for the general manager. 20 minutes later he still wasn’t in, and I was ready to go home. Why was it so hard to put the orders in individually since we were all paying individually, as indicated when we were seated? Why put in 15 orders as one ticket to then later have to split them individually? Makes no sense.
Anyways, we won’t be back. Too...
