I love GameStop and I’m a member there, but I went today to buy Skyrim for a friend, because it’s an amazing game, and I forgot to bring my ID. It was my fault of course and so I wasn’t upset with that so I went back to get my ID. He held the disc at the desk which was cool. I brought my school id and he then told me I couldn’t use it (despite the fact that I am a member and all of my information was on my account). I then had to bring my girlfriend to buy the game for me and he denied service. He didn’t even look at her ID. I would be okay with this if I looked younger but I’m in college and am obviously not under 17. The guy kept complaining about his job being at stake so I just left. Had I been more frustrated I would’ve demanded to speak with his manager. I provided ID. They had my information. They denied service to my girlfriend. Not going to this GameStop anymore. Service was terrible. I called to confirm that the price for an Xbox 360 was the same in-store as it was online before I made the drive down to the store to buy it. The guy that answered the phone said it was the same price(I confirmed it a couple times to make sure) so I drove the 30 minutes to pick up the system rather than order online. I got there and it was $30 or $40 more. Instead of at least trying to make things right, he made sure to prove to me that it was more expensive. Bottom line......terrible customer service, wasted time, and wasted gas. Of course I can't judge gamestop by one sales rep but I won't be back at least not to...

I suggest if you want to buy any games for any gaming system, buy it from Amazon, Walmart, or Target with a more legitimate return policy.. we bought our daughter a Mario game for Christmas and she decided she wanted a different game so we took the unopened game and receipt in and they rudely told us they only had a 15 day return policy…. And would not make any exceptions. But then suggest that I open the package and sell it as a used game??? That makes no sense to me.
