My friend listed off a few differnt joints as ideas for lunch today. Andrade's was one of them. I'm always down for Mexican food for lunch so Andradre's was today's pick.
Walking in, this place is so colorful and vibrant! I love the pretty water fountain as soon as you walk in and the pretty art piece that was hanging above it. The whole venue looks like a fiesta so you know you're about to have a great time!
We got sat. A sweet gal dropped off a couple waters, chips and salsa. Nothing like starting your afternoon with chips and salsa! Adri came shortly after and grabbed drink orders. I got a virgin mango margarita today. She asked if I wanted the rim salted or tajined. I totally would have but I have to watch my salt intake. Without the salt and tajin, that mango margarita was money! It was so good! It was perfectly blended! It had a good amount of mango to it. It was absolutely delicious!
For lunch I got a shredded beef taco and shredded beef enchilada for lunch. It also came out with a side of rice and beans. The plate looked fabulous! I appreciate the peas and carrots in the rice! It added another texture to it. The rice and beans were nice and hot! Super tasty! The beef in my enchilada was tenders and flavorful. The sauce was rich in color and flavor. I like that there was a slight heat to everything. It wasn't overwhelming. I didn't get a chance to eat much of the taco. I did take a bite and it was good! I do wish that the tortilla didn't get all soggy. One side of the taco was great but the other was drenched in fluid. I also did find hard pieces of rice in the side of rice i got. Kind like it's been sitting too long and it dried out. It wasn't the best the chew.
I'm happy I got to try this joint out today! Adri was fantastic and did a great job taking care of us! My margarita was top notch! The food was good and the venue was so much fun. Looking forward to coming back and trying other goodies of their menu with another bomb...
Read moreLet me start off by saying. The food was amazing! Definitely some of the best we have had in the Treasure Valley. The owners also seemed quite involved when we were there. Unfortunately, we had a terrible expirience with our server. We waited 30 minutes for our drinks, and another 30 or so before we were offered a refill. We were brought chips, but with no salsa and beans. When the sides did come out “and not that this part is a big deal” we did happen to notice that all the other tables around us had bowls of salsa and beans, and we were just given small plastic sampler cups? Again… not that big of a deal, just seemed strange. We understand restaurants get busy, but all the other tables around us had servers that were extremely attentive and very friendly. We watched as others had their drinks refilled, and extra chips and salsa brought out to them. When we did get our food, we were also told our check would be brought to us right away because we had a baby sitting with us and (in her words) “I know how babies can be”…. She may have just been trying to be kind, but it did feel like an insult as we had horrible service our entire time there. This being said, our baby was not fussy at all. He did not cry, scream, or make much noise at all…. We received our check and were not offered desert. Something we would have been interested in, and all the other tables around us were offered desert before they received their check….
I try to be understanding of servers, they are human like everybody else. I also understand things get busy and you can’t always make the rounds like you need to. This just seemed differet. We felt as if we were unwelcome, and were left wondering if it was something we did, but we can’t think of anything….
This was just our bad experience, and everbody else around us seemed to have a great evening. The food was amazing, and we would definitely like to try it again, hopefully with better...
Read moreSecond review: 7/17/2021 We decide to go back at 8:00 on a Friday night. We had 10 people in our party. They totals would be about a half an hour, they got us in a 20 minutes. Once we got seated and they took our order it took them about 40 minutes to bring her food out. While we were waiting for our food the waitresses were very attentive and came out multiple times bringing us refills on drinks and chips and salsa. Once the food came out it looked amazing.
Unfortunately the reviews of the food were very mixed. I had a combination platter again and loved it. My nephew on the other hand had mini chimichanga bites and it was literally cold right when they brought it out. Two others in our party had luke warm food. Not sure how they prepare or store the food before they bring it to the table but they do need to come up with a better system.
Part of our party lives here in Boise and usually don't like going to Andrade's, but they went because we really liked it. I kind of have mixed feelings about going back, will probably try it one more time to see how it is.
First review Visited Andrade's around 6:00pm on a Tuesday night and it wasn't too busy. Once we ordered, it took about 20 minutes to get our food. There was nine of us in our party, so it wasn't too bad of a wait. The staff was very friendly, but I expected a little more attentiveness. The waiter only came to the table to bring a picture of water and bring the check besides bring the food. Granted, the did get more busy at around 7:15. The menu was pretty extensive, so you should be able to find something you will like. I ordered a combination dinner with chicken enchiladas and a taco and was tasty. My wife ordered the chicken fajitas and really enjoyed them. Overall they were really good, I think they were a little understaffed and didn't expect the influx of customers on a Tuesday night. I would recommend Andrade's for a...
