WOW!! I am doing this review a few days after eating there. If I would have written it immediately afterward it would be worse. We have a timeshare about 4 miles from the restaurant. Each year we try different places to eat. This was our first time eating here. We had dinner. After looking at all the great reviews we decided to give it a try. I am not going to make it a narrative just bullet points to save time... Difficult parking in the lot behind the restaurant (very dark after nightfall) Limited seating inside Very noisy Tables not cleared/cleaned Food on floor next to our table (someone dropped food in the walkway) it was never cleaned up the whole time we were there Took 6 to 8 minutes to get a server to come to our table Since it was our first time we had some questions. Our server (new??) did not know very much. She offered substitutions BUT were not told there would be any charge for substitutions. Service was very slow overall Food was just OK. What we thought was Tzatziki sauce until we tried it.. Our Server said it was garlic sauce after we asked if it was Tzatziki sauce.. We asked if they had Tzatziki sauce and they did. When we got the bill there was an upcharge for the Tzatziki sauce... We never got a paper bill. We had to pay at the register. Their printer was not working so we did not get a receipt or an itemized bill. Our bill was $69.00 before tip for 2 meals, an add on of pumpkin soup, no drinks, just tap water that was not even cold. Ice melted before we could drink it. (we confirmed with our server that nothing was spicy (hot) as my wife is sensitive to pepper etc. She was not able to eat the soup as it was too spicy for her. We saw a total of 4 employees including our server. It was an open kitchen and we heard continuous banging, loud banging. Probably the chef cutting the meat or heavy chopping on the grill??? Not a great atmosphere to enjoy dinner
Sadly, forgot to take photos..
But let me tell you all a few things...
1st. Lily the owner is super sweet and a great host and also owner and cook. We took my sister for her birthday this past Sunday, and it was exceptional.
We ordered the mixed grill platter with kebabs for our main entree and a side of dolmade and a side of Falafel that was outstanding!
Holy cow...it was enough food for 8 people and then some!
If you order the platter of Shwarma or Kebabs...it's a ton of food. Not only do you get over 1 lbs of shwarma or like 3 Kebabs each of steak, Chicken and Kofta,,....you also get a pan of rice with Patatas Harra and a full pan of Greek slad...it was insane the amount of food we had. ...you also get a full side of pitas, Garlic sauce, Hummus, Tzatiki and Greek dressing for your salad.
It was all absolutely delicious...and not only did we eat it for late night snack, we had it again for dinner on Monday. .
Dalmade, Falafel, Family Platter of Kebabs, 3 pieces of Baklava, 3 drinks it was $105....a steal of a deal...as i said the platter can feed 8 easily.
Will definitely be back again soon, and will even call ahead for a home get together to feed many people for cheap.
Service, food, Lily....1000%% amazing.
Also, as a foodie and former food blogger for 12 years...when you know ...you know. During our time there, many Lebanese and Moroccan people were ther eating and getting take out...all you need to know!
It's the best hole on the wall hidden gem I've found in...
Read moreAfter eating several times next door, at Bizzarro's, we decided to give Lily's a try. I ordered the Mixed Grill platter ($19.99) and my partner ordered Lily's Grilled Chicken Bowl ($13.99) and a Caesar salad ($9.99). We also ordered a domestic beer and a house red wine. First, out came the salads. Mine was super, overly dressed. The dressing just seemed like a powerful mix of straight up vinegar and parsley. It was far too sour tasting to enjoy. The Caesar salad was even less impressive. Iceberg lettuce instead of romaine and, for the price, very small. Next out came my. plate of food.,and only MY plate of food. Server said, ' be right back with your pita', but no mention of my partner's dinner. She brought back the pita and left. After about 10 minutes the rest of the food arrived, with no apology . By now, my food was mostly lukewarm (I'm a gentleman and i wait for everyone to be served before i dig in.). As for the taste, eh. The chicken was good, juicy, tender and flavorful. The other 2 skewers (Kafta and beef tenderloin) were both dry and overcooked. The tenderloin was too tough and chewy to even eat. The rice was half cooked, half not cooked enough. Pita bread was more cracker-like than bread-like. My partner thought her food was 'ok', but she wished we had gone...
