Came and ate dinner on a Sunday night with my 20 and 21 year old daughters. The female server was AMAZING and we loved her. So sweet, personable, and helpful. Sorry I don’t remember her name, but she was really the only great thing in the establishment. The dart games are literally on the route from the outside deck to the bathrooms, you literally have to walk between the dart board and the player to get to the bathroom. My daughter almost got hit by one as she went to use the bathroom. My daughter and I ordered drinks, and we couldn’t figure out if there was any alcohol in either one of them. The food was so so. Typical bar food. The next evening I stopped by, on a Monday after the beach, hoping to hangout for a few hours for a couple drinks and food. Seeing all locals at the bar I figured this is the place to go if you’re looking for a great place with good conversation and a decent pour. I typically try to search out the “locals places”, whether at home or while traveling. I get that this place is beachside, but I went up to the bar at a vacant chair and the male bartender just kept walking by me, chit chatting with the locals, then walking away. The place wasn’t crowded at all. So I moved to the other end of the bar, where a female bartender served me. Ordered a Don Julio and seltzer. It was literally served with a short 1 oz shot, not even to the top. She poured it into the cup and it filled about half an inch. And I was charged $11.24. This answered my question, “is there even any alcohol in these drinks?” As I sat there and then watched the male bartender make a drink, he also had to measure his drink with a one ounce shot. Saw a third bartender, a male, who I am guessing might be the owner?, free pour two drinks without measuring. I closed out my tab and went down the street where the bartenders are friendly, and the drinks are poured freehand and are more reasonable, plus they remember what you ordered and go above and beyond to serve you. Lots of locals and tourists alike were enjoying the live music and great...
Read moreFood was good but service was less than good. Our waitress started off decent then became distracted from her job by sitting at a table with her friends. Prior to her distraction she was supposed to bring my husband a drink. 30 minutes later I had to track down another waitress to do our waitresses job for her. When our waitress decided to do her job we asked for a to go box and the bill. She gave us a box but no bill. So once again we had to track down another waitress to get the bill. We then had the cash to pay the bill and again had to wait for our waitress who never showed. We then went to the bar to pay the bill. Know one at the bar would even look at us to accept the bill. We finally had to shout across the bar to be acknowledged and left it on the bar. We have never left less than a 25% tip due to bring in the industry. It’s one thing to be in the weeds and doing your best. That is understandable but literally sitting at a table for over 30 minutes while you are forgetting to bring the food/drinks to your customers is just wrong. It was a real shame to have that kind of experience because food and...
Read moreTo the folks that recently posted their mean review… this is a local bar with the same locals and folks that have been frequenting and hanging together for years. We are here to be with our friends and support the employees. Your review was uncalled for and way out of bounds. Like any other bar… you will now and then run into a dumbass… that’s not 99% of folks that call this establishment home. The music is never too loud for anyone but I guess you. Special sports games and Sunday football is always on the tv’s, and not music. That’s what the locals want. If you felt uncomfortable or felt bothered by another customer… go somewhere else. Your attitude is not welcome here anymore. There are other bars in the area that don’t treat you like family or with any sort of respect… your just a visitor to them. May we suggest you take your nasty comments and reviews there. Hurricane Eddie’s is IRB’s bar. And soon to be the best...
