Normally I like this location but today I had an experience where it makes me never want to return. I ordered several things in the drive thru for 4 people, 2 of which were jr trays with chicken tenders, corn dog, cheese bites, and oreo milkshake. When we got the food the jr trays had 3 corn dog and no chicken tenders. My daughter took it to the window and told the girl there, she got a guy who then took the boxes and went to the back. He returned and said he did not fix them because that is what was ordered. I went to the window myself and he told me the same thing. He would not fix it because that is what I ordered. I asked for a manager who also proceeded to tell me he was not going to fix it. I said everyone in my car heard me say chicken tenders and then he said everyone in here heard you say corn dogs. I asked for a refund which he did not give me. He said I will just give you a snack pac which is 3 chicken tenders. At this point I am so upset because I feel like they are saying I am lying. The snack pac was not equivalent to what I ordered but I just left because I hated that I was arguing to get first what I asked for and second chicken tenders. I cannot believe that anyone would treat...

This, my friends, is what you call The ultimate disappointment in a Styrofoam tray... It all started when I went to the "Cook-out" because I was hungry and when it's late it is one of the only places available at that time of night to go to. But tonight, I just got back from the cookout in Indian Trail and jeez am I sorry I even went there...The hush puppies I got were so burnt to a crisp that you would think the people who cooked them would see the burnt black spots splattered all over them. Then after being thoroughly dissuaded from them, I said to myself, "you know, whatever, its just hush puppies.. it happens". so I unwrapped my cheesy cheddar burger expecting it to be all that is cheesy and good... I take a big bite... And what do I get?... A overwhelming mouth full of carbon... Yummy..... I mean, normally in any other situation I support the "Cook-Out", but tonight I am pissed. P.S. my girlfriends quesadilla was absolutely horrible too; Also burnt... All I wanted was a satisfactory, convenient meal at 3 in the morning... is that so hard to ask for?... You had one job... watch the timer... Don't f#%& up.... Go kill yourself... whoever you...

I dread coming to this location when my wife is in the mood for cookout. Every time we come here, I have to repeat our order three or four times at the speaker because it's "hard to hear"... Well, yeah I bet it is hard to hear when you have earbuds in.

They never repeat the order back to you so you have only a hope and a prayer that they heard you correctly, and then act like they're the ones inconvenienced when you tell them that they missed or forgot to include something.

I had to go inside recently because they missed something in my order (that I had to repeat THREE TIMES), and then wanted to charge me for it... I asked for the manager (Karen move I know, but I was in a hurry and I was pissed) and the girl at the counter looked to her coworker and asked "are you a manager?"... At least 2 employees here didn't know who the manager was... Just a very poorly run location in general which is a shame because it's the only cookout close to our house. I avoid going here at all costs because I don't feel like arguing with the workers because of missed or...

I worked in fast food industry for several years while I was a teenager. I have never spoken to someone this rude in my life! We order our stuff and I have never been to cookout before so I told my friend that I wanted a cheeseburger with just cheese and a bacon ranch wrap and fries. My friend rolled up to the intercom and said he wanted a tray with a big double burger and the cashier, Mya, says ā€œjust the burger?ā€ He then takes a second to ask me what I want exactly and I say that I just want cheese. He then tells the cashier that the burger should have cheese only. She then replies something along the lines of ā€œnext time you pull up to the drive through you need to know what to specifyā€ with an attitude. My friend says my bad and she says ā€œso sadā€. He orders the rest of the food and we pull up to the window. On top of that the burger had everything on it and not just cheese and the milkshake we ordered had half of it missing. Obviously the food was still good but the service ruined it this time around.

Okay, so I have to be honest. I love Cook Out. This is the worst one I've ever been to. I usually visit once a week on Sunday evening. It never fails to disappoint. The line is always way too long, and they never fail to get something wrong on my order. I don't know what's wrong with this place, but they need a management improvement. We used to call cookout "the Borg" in reference to how efficient they were and how they could communicate an order with seemingly very few words. This one does not qualify. If you're headed down 74 towards the beach, go a few more miles as there is one in Monroe that is a vast improvement. Come for the food, stay (and wait a long time) for the inept customer service. I gave them 2 chances for basic food and it was highly disappointing, but their rating went up to 93.5. I ordered 2 grilled Chicken sandwiches plan, FF, Hushpuppies, Lemonade. The Chicken cools everything bounced out to my car, the bun was so Soggy that it literally was falling apart, Mayo was slathered on by the dump truck load. The FF was soggy, although warm and tossed in the bag upside down. Yes, they are short staffed and you can’t get any milkshakes (good thing I didn’t order it). Anywho, it would’ve took less time to make my food if they would’ve followed directions and made a plan grilled Chicken sandwich minus the black soot & rubber chicken.
