The rudest most nastiest person with possibly the most horrible behavior on the planet works here! The man overcharged me by about three dollars and then argued with me when I was just there the same week and they charged me around three dollars less.I went there on a Monday and it was $16 something. I ordered the same thing Saturday and it was $19 something and I ordered the exact same items!

He argued with me until we had a verbal fight, and he cussed at me as well, which is unprofessional, even if a customer cusses at you,you do not cuss at the customer!!!!!!!You also do not argue with customers!!!!!The whole thing was his fault!!!!!!!

Avoid this place at all costs do not give them any of your business ever!!!!!! I would never come back!!!! The disrespectful person told me not to come back, which is ridiculous, because I would never give them one more penny ever!!!!!!!

Nobody should ever give them any money ever such a rude disrespectful person with horrible behavior!!!!!!!It ended up that he charged me for a larger rice instead of a small and he caused the entire conflict! I realized this once I got home and I had received a larger rice instead of a small rice. This person does not need to be working in customer service!!!!!!!!!

The other two people that work the dining room are not rude, disrespectful argumentative, and nasty like the man I dealt with today! If you fire him or keep him in the kitchen, I will return, but I will never return as long as this nasty person works with customers!!!!!!! I will also tell everyone I know to never ever go there as long as he works with customers!!!!!!!! There are plenty of Indian restaurants in this city and you lost my business probably forever unless you stop that psychopath from interacting with...

My and husband and I had dinner here tonight and i have to say the customer service here was terrible. We first got there and sat down for 10 minutes before we were even given a menu (there was only one other table of customers in the restaurant). We had to ask for a menu and the waiter said he would get one. I watched as he just walked behind the counter and was chating with his co workers . We waited another 5 minutes. I watched in disbelief because he was doing absolutley nothing. We finally got our menu and we were given water. I asked for a straw and again just waited and watched him do nothing. My husband finally got up walked to the counter and got me a straw. After this I watched the guy who i believe was the owner tell off the customers at table next to us about them not telling them how they wanted their bread cooked before hand. He told them he wasted 3 pieces of bread because they didnt like the way it was made. He spoke to them in the most condescending way as me and my husband watched. His behavior was appaling. He was clearly embrassed and felt the need to explain himself before we left. He said they were professionals and those people are regulars who are always complain. I defintley didnt hear those customers say anything wrong he was completley out of line and unprofessional. The food was decent but i have no plans to return after receiving such poor service and witnessing them disrespect another group...

Ordered pickup over the phone, spent $50. When I paid I gave $60 and the cashier asked me if I wanted my change. It was a fifteen minute drive to the restaurant, when I arrived home our order was incorrect. We got shrimp curry when we had ordered chicken curry and we also ordered 12 oz. Of mint chutney and got 4 oz. We called the restaurant and they told us we could drive back and get the chicken curry and that they would refund our money for it. So I drive back to the restaurant the young women who answered the call was standing at the counter and when I told her who I was she immediately went in to the kitchen. A man came out and asked me what I needed and I told him we had called about our missing food. They then went back in the kitchen and a few minutes later came out and handed me a paper bag without saying anything. I asked about the refund and the man said that he isn’t giving me a refund because he gave me the food. I explained to him that I had driven to the restaurant twice and that they had promised the refund because of their mistake. He then argued back and fourth with me about it in front of other customers and kept repeating that he had given me my food so he wasn’t giving me a refund. At the end of it he said that he would give me the money back but he grabbed the bag of food and took it back into the kitchen. Very bad experience and we will not...

I went to the 82nd street location on Friday with my wife and our not-always-well behaved preschooler son (babysitter fell through). The food was absolutely excellent from the paneer pakora appetizer to the chicken karahi that I had and the chicken tikka that my wife enjoyed. Of course, there was excellent fresh naan as well. If you are concerned about spiciness, they did a great job accommodating different levels of heat. I love spicy and my chicken karahi had a nice strong heat while not being too overpowering (a mango lassi helped to chill it out too!). My wife got the chicken tikka (piping hot out of the oven!) done to medium spiciness that still gives you a nice flavor. They can even go milder than that if you want to try out the food but aren't ready for the spiciness. Let's just say that this place is so good that my preschooler -- who is a picky eater -- was singing the praises of Indian food by the time we were done. We didn't give him anything too spicy but he loved the red chutney and of course the fresh naan was a huge hit. The last, but certainly not least, part is that the service here was excellent. Everyone was extremely friendly and we had a great time. I give it a strong recommendation and at some point I want to try out the lunch buffet too!

Food was cold in the buffet and extremely watered down. The sauces were flavorless. This place used to be very good, but they have new owners and it’s gone downhill. It is utterly disgusting. Also, as I was getting a new plate and silverware, someone came out of the kitchen and was able to see the filth in which they cook: the floor had sauces spilled all over and puddles of liquid. I paid and left, didn’t want to make a scene. Lastly, the TV was running very loudly, playing a religious show in Punjabi.

This was our 3rd time at this place over 12 month. We also appreciate how you offered to go Specials during COVID 19. However, PLAIN rice was THE only thing that was GOOD this time. We hate to say that but we have experience with rice Biryani but this time it was a mix of lots of uncut sweet onion, mushy and clearly out of this world, and bell paper with some chicken masala tossed together to call it Biryani. We will come back for Gulaab Jamoon in rose water sweet, plain rice and Naans, OK?
