First, let me start by saying that I usually never leave reviews unless it’s an outstanding review or a complete horrid bomb. Sadly, this is a bomb!!! This started as a call in order for curbside pickup. I called 4 times, using the prompt that said to reach a person. It went unanswered. I called again choosing another prompt to reach a person. Nothing still!!!!! I called one more time, choosing another prompt and finally got a person. She put me on hold. After waiting 10 minutes, she answers and I told her I was calling in a curbside order. Her tone went from bad to worse. She said, ok what do you want? I’m thinking really???? So, I proceed to tell her I have 3 dinner orders that I’m placing. She said I can’t do this. We are swamped and I’m going to have to find someone to do this. Then click, I’m on hold. After some time she comes back and said I’m going to have to take your order because no one else is available. I told her I understand that she needs help, but it’s not my fault that she is busy. Hoping that would change her terrible attitude. It didn’t!!! I proceed with my orders. I had to repeat it several times per order because she either was not paying attention or just wasn’t listening. Ordering 3 steak dinners, each time she would not let me tell her how I wanted them prepared. I said, each steak is going to be a different temperature to fit for each person. She was very abrupt and said she did not have time for this. I said I’m not going to pay for 3 dinners and just accept whatever you give me. Again, her attitude grew worse. As I started to tell her how I wanted each steak cooked, the phone went dead. I knew she hung up on me! I called back and surprise, she answered. She said I don’t know why you hung up. I said I didn’t. She then tells me that it wasn’t on her end and it had to be me. I explained as politely as I could that during this he said she said, my order would have been done. Needless to say, she wasn’t happy. I had her read each order back to me so that I knew she had everything correct. At that point she asked when I was going to be there. I said how long will it be? She said I’m putting it in now and it would be at least 15 minutes. I said fine. When I get there I will check in for curbside. She said no you need to come in and get it yourself. I was speechless. I have never be talked to by someone in the service field like this and regardless of what she had going on, it did not give her the right to speak to me in such a way. I asked her name to which she said CINDY. So when I got there, I went to the bar as told and said I had ordered 3 to go orders. The lady says, are you Kim. I said no I’m Peggy. She looks in the computer and shows no order. By this time, I’m livid. She asked for my last name. I told her. Again could not find my order. She walked away and I had no idea what was going on. She came back out and said, the order was found and I just got it put in. I said first you can’t find the order, now your just now putting it in. She said, sorry but we’re swamped. What a joke! There were 2 people at the bar having drinks, no dirty dishes indicating that they were previously busy at the bar and there were 3 table with 2 people at each. She was clearly pissed that she had to do her job and frankly I was pissed at the attitude, treatment, and rude behavior. There were several servers and they were just walking around talking and laughing with each other. Evidently, I interrupted her gossip time. As she started bringing items out, they were wrong. Items missing, sides wrong, etc. For each meal, there was a salad. She brought out 2. When I reminded her that there should be 3 , she rolled her eyes and walked off. She came back out with a salad. She starts putting it in bags and little by little bringing out parts of the dinners. As I watched her bag the items, I said is that the filet and lobster? She said you didn’t order lobster. Yes I did. She came back and said yes your right, I’m wrong sooorrry. Very condescending....
Read moreAvoid; a terrible Longhorn location. I eat at Longhorn when traveling because it's consistent. Except this location. I frequent a Longhorn location one to two times per week, 30 weeks of the year. Maybe they're understaffed and struggling. Maybe they don't care.... The bartender meant well and was working hard. But not helping the patrons at the bar. Or answering the restaurant drink tickets that stacked up on the printer. I was understanding when I sat at the bar surrounded by dirty dishes and napkins from previous patrons. They were eventually cleared 25 min after my arrival. I was understanding when my upcharge salad came out wrong (requested no dressing, received swimming in dressing).. I was understanding when the bartender never checked back... I lost my patience when I tried to flag down the bartender. And the bar back. And any server: I just needed a utensil roll.. heck I just needed a fork. For 9 minutes I tried and no joy. Then my entree arrived. The manager who served it was walking away when he inquired if there was anything I needed as an afterthought, as I sat in front of an untouched salad... I politely requested silverware please... add 3 minutes to bring poorly washed silverware (food remnants on fork and knife ) ... I ate salad and steak simultaneously, but somehow steak was already cold, and overcooked. A medium rare NY strip is not gray. Nor is it 30% gristle. Not marbled fat or something enjoyable, i love flavorful fat and eating too far into a steak/bone. But inedible gristle on a hockey puck is too much. Add to that an upcharge side of asparagus that was somehow simultaneously over and under cooked... and totally inedible. I never complain. I never write reviews. I've worked in the industry and know how hard it is.. This longhorn needs to be shut down until the rampant fruit flies are dealt with, the staffing is brought up to par, and the management has awareness and control of...
Read moreLonghorn Steakhouse is one of my favorite places to eat out partly because it's always so good no matter how many times I go there.
Unfortunately this was my first visit to this longhorn location and it was very disappointing to say the least.
Initial wait was fine, we got seated. When our waitress showed up we order both our food and drinks because we knew exactly what we wanted from our many visits to other locations.
After about 15 minutes of waiting, our food for 3 of the 4 of us got delivered by someone who wasn't our waitress. The surprising part is the simplest food order was the one that was missing, the soup. After a couple more minutes our waitress shows up with some of our drinks indicating that they were out of apple juice and asked about a substitution. She also brought out the bread at this point though we already had our food so the point was moot.
She then left and returned with the drink substitution. And someone else brought out the soup eventually. Which honestly was pretty disappointing, because it wasn't even all that hot like as though they simply forgot to bring it with the other food and the potato in the soup wasn't even fully cooked.
As the meal was coming to the end and got the check, and asked for to go containers for leftovers, I had even asked for a to go drink cup so I could get my drink to go but that was also forgotten when my card was returned to me.
Overall a very disappointing experience from this longhorn Steakhouse when we've had amazing experiences countless times from other locations. This location seemed to drop the ball on too many different aspects that I don't recommend coming back...
