Dutch Bros Coffee — Restaurant in Indianapolis

Great place but takes way too long to get your order! I’m giving it a one only because service is so incredibly slow. When they first opened, they had about 20 people out taking orders in the drive-through line which is a double line and is always very long but the last couple times I’ve gone there’s been maybe one person tops and it takes 20 to 30 minutes to get your drink! And the people are so stinking nice and sweet that they will just sit and chat with someone at their car window for as long as that person needs them too. I appreciate their level of kindness, but in this sort of situation, they need to work on efficiency and kindly having people wrap up their conversations in a way that is obviously professional...

We waited over an hour for our order and were told they were doing smaller orders before completing our order. If they can’t process large orders, they should not accept large orders. The design of the parking lot and building are terrible. The drive thru line went through faster than any of the people standing outside in the freezing cold waiting. They say “order ahead to skip the line” but instead they prioritize the drive through line because otherwise the line blocks the parking lot off completely. They need to seriously reconsider their management because they shouldn’t have orders waiting for over an hour while they give everyone else...

There is absolutely no reason to get sassy off the bat with drivers who are literally just trying to pull in and get a coffee because they don’t understand how the line forms. Sadly I had already ordered online or I would have immediately left after getting sassed for trying to pull in. Figure out a better way to direct customers than this. I understand trying to direct traffic but there are better ways. Whatever firm they worked with in this didn’t consider the volume when designing the drive though for the first Dutch in this area.
