By far the worst stay I have ever had! Upon arrival the staff was unfriendly, my room had old towels and wash cloths from the previous guests, the pillows had stains, Our room was not cleaned through our entire stay and our trash had piled up because the staff wouldn't take it until we left and the floor had stains on it. The treatment my family received was horrific.
I came from VA for a family reunion in which my family booked over 50% of the hotel and the hotel was completely booked for the weekend leaving other family members to have to book somewhere else. Starting on Thursday we were told we had to be in our room by 10pm in which I have never heard nor did I see that in writing if those were guidelines we needed to follow. The staff lied and stated we were stealing towels and wash clothes when family were asking for multiple towels and was cloths. Family members offered the staff to come in the rooms to show that was not the case. The staff began to refuse giving extra towels and stated they were out when the cleaning lady told us they weren't and they just didn't want to give out any extra. We were kicked out of the conference room and told to go to the parking lot, we went to the parking lot and got kicked out of the parking lot so we went down the hill completely away from the hotel and then we were told we had to leave there and was met with an armed guard forcing us to go back to our rooms.
A family member when trying to discuss with one of the clerks where could we congregate so they wouldn't get in trouble told corporate that the family member came behind the desk and became aggressive and assaulted her which did not happened and all they had to do was look at the cameras to know that was not the truth. The male clerk on duty followed family members around all-day Saturday telling us if we were not in our room by 10pm we would be kicked out.
There were 2 armed guards on duty as of Friday in which I didn't understand because we weren't causing commotion, we were cleaning up after ourselves, we weren't loud and we followed every rule they had told us even if those rules weren't enforced for other guests. What type of hotel needs armed guards??
This was the worst experience ever, think twice before staying here. My family of over 200+ people was racially profiled when we were just trying to have a good time and didn't cause anyone trouble. We eventually moved over to the La Quinta who welcomed us with open arms and allowed us to gather with no problems and were extremally accommodating especially because our family had also booked 50% of their hotel.

Read moreSome things we are just spoiled like having status recognized and welcome gifts and we only stay with large chains with good ratings and read many reviews before selecting hotels.
But this visit was unbelievable. We checked in with a rude clerk who had no personality just all business telling us nothing but a room number. I know I was not on my phone but you would think I was talking on my phone and he was trying not to interrupt but get me checked into my room. It was just that straight forward and not friendly or welcoming at all. We had a clean room large 2 kings and because we was 4th floor it was not to bad with interstate noise. But outside the building the interstate is right there and very loud. Smokers need to bring ear plugs bad. That is not a joke it was well over 70 db. But the main thing was the 3 am fire alarm. We walked down the stairs and out of the building and no employee was anywhere in front of the building and no fire trucks ever responded. Finally at 4 am I went back in to find somebody to make sure it was OK. Understand we have. 2 year old and 7 year old and luckily I grabbed my car keys as we hurried out bearfoot. I finally find an employee and she said it was a false alarm and everything was fine. So I drop the wife off with a sleeping 2 year old and confused 7 year old to get a room key and the lady is acting like it was no big deal nobody walked out to let us know we could renter the building. So now breakfast I am up early well hardly slept (I normally bring my own pillows and this place had bad pillows) but this trip I forgot and hardly slept kept coughing and finally just wadded up some shirts so I would not keep others up. No waffles and pancakes broke. So it was clerical and toast. But wife and daughter didn't make it before 10 am so they didn't get breakfast. At 10:05 I asked the front desk for a couple of yogurts and they said once breakfast is over it is over. My wife asked for a bottled water and they didn't even have any for us to buy. As I was walking out a guy yelled out Thank You! To the front desk. I just laughed as I walked out and said you didn't here that from them this stay did ya. He said this place is horrible we won't ever come back. I have to agree it was a bad exsperience. Hopefully they will make changes because everything is easy to fix with our stay. Like I said it was a clean big room in a nice building but man the service was very bad and for a family who travel a lot and stay with several different chains this was one of the worst exsperiences we have had with...
Read moreWe were in town for an event that ran late into the evening. By the time we got to our room for the first time, it was after 10 pm. We walked into a bathroom that had obviously not been cleaned. There was a used bar of soap and bottle of shampoo in the shower! I immediately called the front desk. The representative said that the hotel was booked, so they didn’t have any rooms to move us to. Being so late, no one was available to clean the room either. He apologized, and said he would discount our stay. That didn’t really fix our problem, but I understood the reasons for not being able to help us and every hotel was booked in the area, so we agreed to stay. When we received our bill the next morning, there was no discount. In addition, we woke up to the voice message button blinking on the hotel phone. I of course listened to the message - it was not for us. It was a lengthy conversation between 2 hotel employees, involving “persistent “ guests upset about the room being dirty. I don’t think it was even about us, as the date was from several days prior. However, it was extremely unprofessional and just plain odd that it was left on our phone. I took our bill to the front desk to explain the bathroom situation. I also mentioned the voicemail, and said “you should probably delete that.” The front desk worker basically called me a liar, and said the “ message light wasn’t even blinking.” She flipped through a spiral notebook where apparently the night shift leaves notes, and said we were given extra rewards points instead of a discount. Well... I’m not staying at this hotel ever again, so what good did that do?? Also - We Loy live about 2 hours from this location and could easily drive to the event (which we attend every year). The whole reason we stay in a hotel is to let our kids swim and socialize with their team members at the pool. It’s something they really look forward to. About a week before our arrival, we discovered a note on their website indicating that the pool was closed for reminder. I called to find out how long it would be down, and was told they were hopeful that it would be completed by the weekend, which is when we were staying. Every other hotel in the area had been booked for months, so we had to decide whether to just commute or hope for the best. When we arrived to check in, the pool was no where near being completed. It was basically a construction site. I feel it was incredibly misleading for the staff to tell us it was likely to be done by the time we arrived. There is no way that was true and they had...
