Amazing food, service, and atmosphere. Excellent venue for a rehearsal dinner!

My husband and I wanted local greek restaurant for our wedding rehearsal dinner, and Hellas was the perfect place. The owner and head chef, Effi, met with us to process all the details and was warm, professional, personable, flexible, and very responsive to our requests. She even made a special orzo dish for the menu based on a description I provided from my husband and my trip to Greece. Effi also helped coordinate a surprise for my husband so that I could play a video toast from his sister who wasn’t able to make it.

We rented the whole restaurant for the dinner at an extremely reasonable rate, and even had the live music and menu cards included. She offered for us to bring decorations for them to set up, and did an amazing job creating a a romantic atmosphere for the dinner.

My guests LOVED the food, atmosphere, and service!! The servers were attentive and professional, and the food was delivered at an appropriate speed. We heard nothing but rave reviews from all of our guests. I also thoroughly enjoyed my left overs the day after the wedding!

Hellas has always been our go to place for great greek food when we are in northeast Indy. Although when we visited on the first weekend of Devour Indy it was far from what we typically received in the past. While we arrived early (about 5pm), each part of our meal from the salad to the dessert was extremely slow. We are normally there about a hour or less, this time was 2.5 hours!! The kitchen appeared to be short staffed and under prepared. Our waitress had to go ask at the window multiple times throughout our meal. The quality of the food wasn't up to what we had always experienced previously either. Granted they were busy when we left as they should have been at 7:30, there was only two other couples at tables when we arrived. We could not understand the reason for the continued delays. Also, no one from the wait staff to the management ever acknowledged to us there was a problem. There was no "I'm sorry for the delay or anything" Which made us wonder if the management were even aware of the issue. The whole experience left us with a bad taste in our mouth so to speak. Saturday night dinner before North Central play. Waitress was completely bun caring about our needs and of course was responsible for the huge mess with the checks. I left early. Today found out that my card was charged with wrong order!!! Everyone's evening ruined!!! The worst part was the menu and food. Are you planning to close???? Your price hike is totally off the wall! I had cold cup of lentil soup and dinner Greek salad.. no feta, green olives,and very tiny. All of this for $15!! Bonefish at least gives money's worth.
