Incredibly underwhelming. Went here for dinner on 6/13 as they have a few vegetarian options on the menu. My wife ordered two veggie tacos and I ordered the veggie burrito.
For $3.79 per taco (seriously), we expected MUCH more. Each taco had a few strips of onion, bell pepper, and a tomato slice or two--that's it, and no, I'm not exaggerating in the slightest. No beans, no zucchini, etc. Oh, and absolutely no seasoning either. My burrito was filled with rice, tomato, onion, bell pepper, cheese and sour cream. The rice was the best part but still fairly bland, and the inside was lukewarm at best. They don't have tap water (a big negative, in my opinion). The refried beans were also average at best--lukewarm, and mostly tasteless. Obviously we are probably missing out since we don't eat meat, but the "veggie" options were far less than an afterthought and felt like an insult to us as visitors of the restaurant, especially for the price we paid (almost $8 for two veggie tacos filled with almost nothing). Why have it on the menu if you take no pride in it?! The veggie options were actually in the third, more expensive, column for each food option...WHAT?! How much can a few strips of onion, pepper and tomato be costing you?
On a sidenote, the salsas were good but they only offer you these extremely tiny paper condiment holders to put it in which can only hold like 1/2 tsp. And they have these huge ladles to scoop it with, so what happens is the salsa misses/spills, touches your hand, and drips back into the salsa containers--extremely unsanitary and seemed very skimpy.
This place felt like a rip-off and I don't see how it can last with quality this low. Will absolutely...
Read moreSo we decided to come and try the birria tacos I keep seeing people rave about in the Indy foodies groups.
Aside from flavorless boiled meat that they claim is carne asada and consume that has no flavor, no chile and is pure water, their salsa area is left open with flies flying around inside, the floors and tables are all dirty, which I will give them some bonus points and I feel bad their one employee went to clean up a spill while he was on his break eating his own food while the girl up front was just standing there. The forks and spoons are all thrown into a container that leaves everyone to reach in for a utensil. The salsa area just seems like a bad idea. I would recommend they put salsa in containers or bottles or find some other way to serve it so it’s not open to flies.
It’s a no from this family. Also it was $75 for our family of 5, one taco was literally 3 pieces of shrimp in a tortilla the rest of the food was flavorless. Their guacamole didn’t have salt or garlic or really any flavor. Their tacos de lengua were super soggy and wet the tortillas didn’t hold it because they were so wet and falling apart.
I will say the only item that was decent was the tacos al pastor. I’m glad I ordered that, but again the lack of salsa sort of takes away from eating tacos.
Save yourselves the trip it’s not...
Read moreFood was pretty good staff wasn't very friendly and pretty much laughed at me while I ordered. So I kinda felt rushed and unhelped and didn't bother getting more food which I kinda regret because we didn't get enough. food portions were small. Also asked for 2 waters and was charged for bottled water when we just wanted cups of water. Very next person ordered a water and got a glass with water out of a pitcher. Food was pretty pricey for what you get. Also not a very good system for picking up your order. A person who ordered food after us got up and rushed over and took our order before we even had a chance to understand our order was called. So we sat around waiting for our order that never came and had to get it remade. Tables were also all dirty and had to wipe our own table off. Wasn't that busy and some staff was standing around. The food was really good. I would like to try again and hopefully have a...
