My boyfriend and I, went here, in December of 2021, on a Thursday night. We had a terrible, horrible, awful, pitiful, pathetic time. I like to sing karaoke. When I sang karaoke, the female dj, Morgan, turned the microphone off. She turned the microphone on, when other people sang. The audience members, asked me to, sing louder. I sang as loud, as I could. My boyfriend and I, asked her why, she turned the microphone off, when I was singing. She lied to us. She told us that, she did, turn the microphone on, when I was singing. That is a complete lie. Morgan, the female dj, definitely turned the microphone off, when I was singing. I cannot believe that, she would have the audacity, to turn the microphone off, while I was singing. This is not fair. This is not right. I do not deserve, this type of treatment. I should be able to, sing karaoke, like everyone else. Also, the female server, did not give, my boyfriend, his correct change back. The female server, gave my boyfriend, less money back, than what she was, supposed to. Also, the female server, took too long, to give my boyfriend, his change back. She socialized with the other customers, before she gave, my boyfriend, his change back. She was wrong, for doing that. A server, is supposed to, give a customer, his or her, change back immediately. Also, the female server, did not, serve us, any pizza. She told us that, they did not have, any pizza ingredients. This is definitely unacceptable. What kind of bar, does not have, any pizza ingredients? They definitely should have had, all of the pizza ingredients. The female server, did not, serve us, any chicken. They definitely should have had, some chicken. What kind of place, does not have, any chicken? My boyfriend and I, had a terrible, horrible, pitiful, pathetic, awful time here, in December of 2021, on a Thursday night. I think that, this place, is awful, disorganized, horrible, lousy, pitiful, pathetic, small, terrible, unprofessional, and...
Read moreAlways fun! Great regulars! Solid pizza for a dive bar. I get some of the negative reviews, BUT...
It's a dive bar. Does that excuse a lackluster bartender? No. But, it is what it is. Some are better than others on the personality front for sure. Beer, sometimes their pizza, and the regulars who sit over by the dart board are the reason I go there often. I don't need the staff to be even moderately special to me. Maybe it's because I keep it simple. IDK. My advice is while they can make specialty drinks, treat this like a legit dive bar and stick with the beer, shot, and simple mixed drink variety. Leave the blender stuff up to your neighborhood chain restaurant/bar.
The owner's name is not Tilly like I've seen on other reviews. It's Diana (SP?). I digress. I get it. She's direct. If you're looking to be nurtured, this isn't your joint. Some people need that though. I get that too. I hear Chick-fil-a says, "My Pleasure" a lot. Maybe go there first to get your fill, or afterwards to get a hug. Kidding. On a serious note, don't sweat it. Just get your beer and enjoy your company. She's been awkward to me before too, but at the end of the day she's cool and nice to me.
Again. Know this.... No frills. No fluff. Keep it simple with like beer and stuff (Yes, rhyme intended. Cute, I know.).
I'd really like to give 5 stars, but I won't because of some of the reasons the bad reviewers have minus the exact details. I just don't take it personally and it's not that intense. Also, they're human and have bad days too. Just hand me a beer...
Read more1 Star “Discrimination dressed as karaoke. Shameful.”
Let me be clear: Tilly’s Pub is not just unwelcoming—it’s a masterclass in ignorance, discrimination, and unprofessionalism.
I showed up for karaoke night about a month ago with my legal, ADA-protected service animal—a calm, well-behaved 8-pound Lhasa Apso tucked inside her stroller. We ordered drinks at the bar, found a table, and started to settle in. But instead of enjoying the night, I was approached by a bartender (a broad, stocky woman with long dark hair and glasses) who told me we had to leave because of my dog.
When I informed her that what she was saying was illegal, she said, “I don’t care.” No apology. No professionalism. Just a flat-out refusal to respect federal law or basic human decency. We requested a refund and left—embarrassed, hurt, and stunned.
Weeks later, my husband and I returned—without my dog—hoping it was a one-off incident. It wasn’t. As soon as she saw me, she said, “Aren’t you the lady with the dog?” with a smirk. What followed was intentional, humiliating retaliation. We were ignored at the bar, served last, and treated like an inconvenience in a place where we came to spend money and enjoy ourselves. It was personal, and it was disgusting.
Tilly’s Pub is the kind of place that smiles to your face while violating your rights behind your back. If you have a disability, if you value dignity, or if you just expect basic kindness—go...
