Today.... today is just one of those days. When nothing goes right, and you're just not feeling it. I was miserable, and it's wasn't just me. Everybody was feeling this way. My poor dog & I had to walk almost 2 miles in the heat to get to Wendy's. I threw up & had to lie down in some random yard on the way there bc i was lugging almost 30 lbs of random stuff w me. My poor dog was so dehydrated, his nose was dry. For a dog, that's a sign of a serious health concern. My phone was dead, so I couldn't call my uber, and we just needed drinks. We barely made it there. At Wendy's, their day was just as frustrating. There seemed to be some staffing issue they were feeling, but not talking about. Everyone was tired. They had obviously been so busy, they were running out of common products you never see them run out of. They didn't have lids for the large cups! That never happens. My brother used to be a GM, that literally NEVER happens.
It was one of those days.
But this staff?! They still smiled. They still delivered orders promptly. They apologized for everything NOT their fault. They went out of their way to make sure my service dog and I were prioritized, hydrated, and welcomed. They treated me with the kindness and respect they obviously hadn't been shown that day. This is NOT what they get paid for, let's be real. They get paid to make burgers. Yeah, they're expected to be polite, and expedient.
But they were truly, genuinely KIND. They didn't need to be. They fought the odds to go above and beyond. They faced an awful day and turned my day around.
Kudos. Give them all raises. You don't pay...
Read moreI wouldn't even give 1 star but you have to atleast give 1. Don't go to the Wendy's on East Street. This is the worst Wendy's ever. The cashier was arguing with me and saying I am the one who ordered my food wrong. No I ordered it right. She was to busy being rude and wanting to argue with me to get the order right. Then they messed my order up the 2nd time. So I give them my order for the 3rd time and the girl says can I take a picture of your order. Sure you can. Then she walks back to the girl making sandwiches and shows her the order then the girl looks up at me and starts running her mouth at me. They walk away from the sandwich station and I'm still standing there for another 10 minutes waiting on my food. Well there was nobody there making it. They refused to make my order but can make everybody else's order that was placed after mine. So this girl walks up I guess she was a manager and she says what is she waiting on. I said I have been standing here for a good 20 minutes waiting on my food but the people making the food walked away and wouldn't make it. So she asked me what I needed and I go to tell her and the cashier cuts me off and says she don't know how to order her food right. So I told I guess the manager what I thought and the girl was seriously rude and wants to argue with the customers and had the nerve to tell me it's because I had a very complicated order. When it was far from complicated. If you wanna go to a Wendy's restaurant and get the correct food the way you ordered it go to the one on Keystone. I wish a higher up person in corporate would get...
Read moreMy wife and I stopped by this location maybe 30 minutes ago. The young woman on drive thru could not get our order correct and did not know her menu whatsoever. I wanted an Asiago chicken bacon ranch, and she asked us about dipping sauces, so my wife tried to politely let her know that our item does not come with dipping sauces. I also wanted a jr bacon cheeseburger, which never got ordered by the young woman in the drive through. She was very very rude to my wife when we tried to verify what menu items were ordered. The young woman kept giving my wife dirty looks, getting a disgusting tone to her voice, etc. Very ugly behavior from someone who cannot even complete the minimum job requirements. I called once I got home to speak to the manager to let him know politely how they could improve their business and be more friendly, and the manager on duty, Chris, also got very rude with me as I was more than polite in my conversation. Bottom line....this Wendys has zero clue of what customer service looks like. The only positive thing about this experience is that the food was how and fresh - props to the kitchen for delivering great customer service! Simply put, your customers keep you open and getting paid - treat them like guests and know...
