Husband and I was near Inverness and just had to go to Stumpknockers for dinner. They were not too busy yet and we quickly got seated. Our waiter was Matt and he was just great, he had us at hello, what a cheerful and fun person. I ordered one of the Wed specials which was Chicken Pot Pie and husband had the fried oysters dinner. This restaurant is pretty large and is decorated so cool, so much to look at. They have a nice Bar area, restrooms next to it. A Florida restaurant at its best. We waited a short time and our food was delivered. Great choice I ordered, came in a cast iron mini crock and the handle had a tiny mit covering it so not to burn your fingers. It was a fantastic presentation I must say, it was on a platter and with it was a salad and fruit which was melon and grapes. Ranch dressing was delicious. The pot pie was topped with a nice crust and really hot from the oven. So it could cool down, I got to eat the salad and fruit. I dug in and it was excellent, as good as mine!! It was full of chicken chunks and veggies and gravy, yum! Husband had a few bites but was more interested in his oysters and sweet potato, he enjoyed his meal too. Matt kept our water glasses filled. We were stuffed and passed on dessert. Got our check and paid and left in a timely fashion. Highly recommend this place, great food and service. Debbie Riverview,...

The Good:
Atmosphere * Frosted Mugs* I gave this establishment 2 stars instead of one because we enjoyed the Florida-themed atmosphere and the frosted mugs for our beer.
The Bad:
Understaffed There was a significant delay in wait time and our waitress seemed overwhelmed. We ordered drinks, but the salad came out first. Two people in our party ordered the same meal, but the waitress only offered one person the option of ordering a salad in lieu of coleslaw.
Rancid Food The last two times we have gone to this establishment we received bad seafood, except this time the signature fried catfish made me throw up within minutes of consuming it. The corn on the cob was soggy and the sweet potato was cold and brown in color. All of the food was inedible.
Poor Management There was no discount or compensation provided after relaying our concerns to the manager. How this establishment feels comfortable charging folks for inedible food that will cause illness is beyond me.
*Note: There was a time we enjoyed this restaurant. We didn't write a review after the last experience because we wanted to give them a second chance, but I was not only disappointed, I became ill after consuming their food. I'm not sure if someone new is managing this restaurant or handling their food, but...
Read moreI don't know how this place stays in business or why people come here. We both ordered two different types of fish. My wife's was very dry and the vegetables were very spicy. The salads that we were given seem to have been old and tasteless. The Ice-T I was given didn't have any ice. Thai iced tea was rather tasteless and look just like colored water. The waitress seemed ever worked and kept coming back to the other guests promising I drank and a few extra napkins at least three times without delivering them. She did come around and ask our food was but I was too embarrassed to tell her just to take it back as we were with 20 other people. Furthermore I think the pricing while middle of the road did not have any value as the pieces of fish we got we're small pieces I got like out of Frozen bag. We were giving any bread like most better restaurants do. This was on a Tuesday about 5 when they weren't supposed to be that busy so I can honestly say the server was very average I feel face below-average and I will not be going back again is there any other better restaurants. I give this place two Stars only because the decor. I know this place has been around forever I don't know why I think the menu as to either change or they have to up the cooking and the...
