I am sad to say I will not return to this, what used to be the most fantastic chinese buffet in all of N. Texas. I have been coming here for 10 years. Introduced countless friends to its deliciousness but today I was incredibly disappointed when I took my mother (who is here from out of town) here for lunch. We did come in later than the normal human for lunch as it was 1 PM but EVERYTHING we saw was old and almost gone. The sauces and juices had all congealed on the food and it was cold! I had looked past this though as U.C. has never failed me before. BOY WAS I IN FOR A SHOCK. The eggroll tasted like dusty mulch, every type of chicken (I tried 3) was really hard and chewy and had a terrible taste. I'm not normally a buffet sushi eater but tried 1 of the rolls only to immediately spit it out as I think the fish may have been bad because it tasted like metal and was really tough. My mother said it was awful as well but was hungry and didn't let it stop her.

I advised our waitress that I really didn't like the food and wouldn't eat it (trust me, I was VERY nice because she wasn't in charge of the food) and asked that I not be charged for my meal. She was very sweet but I don't think she really understood what I was saying as she just brought me more silverware and told me to go back to the buffet so I went to the cashier and told her my issue. I advised I would be happy to pay for my mother's meal as she seems to have eaten most of it but I gave my entire plate of food to the server and never went back to the buffet. Also had water so there's no reason it should have been an issue in my opinion.

She told me there was no way of taking off a whole meal and she would discount my meal to the child's price. I said "but I didn't even eat a child's portion. That doesn't seem very fair". She told me "well, you had at least 1 bite so I have to charge you"

HOW THE HELL AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW THE FOOD WAS TERRIBLE IF I DIDN'T TRY IT?!?

Bad taste in my mouth physically and mentally so I don't feel the need to return. You were one of the last good ones and you were supposed to be better than this! It's a...

I came here on 8/4/24 with my husband and children to celebrate my husband’s bday. We live near Decatur but my husband want Chinese and I remember having a good experience here some years ago. Today when we came in we were seared on the opposite side of the restaurant to which we requested to sit closer to the buffet (due to one of our parties having a disability) we sat closer to the buffet and also near the door. The server (whose photo is attached) rudely rushed over to us and snapped asking if we were dinning in and told us that we needed to wait to be seated. To which we told her we were already seated in the section by the manager. She finished cleaning the table behind us and came over to us asking what we wanted to drink. I requested for her to change her gloves. She rolled her eyes and rudely asked why. I told explained that she was cleaning tables and asked her to please change them to which she told me no. So I requested a new server. She rudely asked why and I told her because she’s going to wear clean gloves if she’s going to serve my family. She went over to the host and the manager to have a conversation and I went up to ensure nothing was added to or taken away from our encounter. Even in front of the manager she was combative. We ended up getting a new server but I was so disgusted I didn’t eat anything. I allowed my husband and children to eat as I sat back, took pictures, and observe her bust 3 additional tables, seat 2 large parties, and a family of 3 with the same gloves on that I requested her to take off because she was 1 busting tables with them on (touching food others spat out, touching their used utensils, wiping tables, grabbing high chairs etc.) 2. She was touching her nose, mouth, and face area, in general. I would prefer a person to wear gloves versus not to wear them but if you’re going to wear them at least make sure they’re clean.

Review: Uno Chinese Buffet – Irving, TX

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Uno Chinese Buffet in Irving, TX, and I must say, it was quite the experience! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The decor blends traditional Chinese elements with a modern twist, making it a comfortable spot for both families and casual diners.

The buffet spread was extensive, featuring a wide variety of dishes that appealed to both adventurous eaters and those seeking familiar flavors. The selection included classic favorites like General Tso's chicken, sweet and sour pork, and a range of fried rice and noodle options. The stir-fry station was a highlight for me, allowing diners to customize their meals with fresh vegetables and proteins cooked to order.

One thing that stood out was the freshness of the ingredients. Unlike many buffets where dishes can sit out too long, the food at Uno was regularly replenished, ensuring that everything was hot and tasty. I also appreciated the unique offerings, like dim sum and sushi, providing a more expansive culinary experience.

The staff were friendly and attentive, frequently checking in to ensure everything was satisfactory. They were quick to clear away empty plates, allowing us to fully enjoy our meal without any clutter.

Dessert lovers will also find something to indulge in, with a small selection of sweet treats, including fruit, cakes, and classic desserts like mango pudding. It was the perfect way to round out a satisfying meal.

Overall, Uno Chinese Buffet offers a delightful dining experience that balances variety, quality, and affordability. It’s an ideal spot for those looking to enjoy a hearty meal with friends or family. Whether you’re a fan of traditional Chinese cuisine or simply in the mood for a buffet experience, Uno delivers on all fronts. I’m already looking forward to...

We were here on Easter Sunday. This place is seafood heaven! Shrimp, crawfish, catfish, octopus (shown in picture with chopsticks), stuffed crab, crab salad.... all delicious! Except I didn't like the 🐙 octopus. 🤮 Haha. But don't know til you try right? They also have sushi, a hibachi grill bar, and even an ice cream cart where the attendant will come serve you unlimited scoops of ice cream! 😋 Yayyy. How great is that?! They also have chicken galore. Fried chicken, buffalo wings, sweet n sour, orange and and so on. The vegetables taste like they are fresh out of someone's garden and cooked perfectly. The food is seasoned very well so I didn't have to add salt or sauces to anything. However I had to have some soy sauce and pickled ginger with my sushi. There's no other way to eat it. There is at least 10 different flavors of Sushi. It's being made right at the bar and is some of the best Sushi you can buy. For me, this buffet was the perfect place to sample different flavors of Sushi and I discovered quite a few that I like. Like SEAWEED, who knew? Lol...I have been here several times and tasted EVERYTHING on the bar and EVERYTHING is really good . BUT, I have not tried the frog legs so don't hold me to those.. As a child, my grandmother tricked me to eat those once, which tasted similar to chicken, and I have never eaten them again. The deserts are semi-sweet so I haven't found a cake or cookie I can suggest because I like treats to be 🧁 sweet! Lol...This place is usually busy and totally worth it. We had two buffets with tea and the bill was $33. I highly recommend this restaurant. 👍🏼👍🏼Two thumbs up!

I don't often expect much when I elect to eat at a Chinese buffet, but I was pleasantly surprised by Uno 1 China Super Buffet. For starters, as the attached images will attest, the choices were staggering. The main counter makes an S-curve around a cold bar and is loaded with all the choices you would expect from traditional Chinese buffets. I decided to sample a little bit of just about everything, or at least what I could fit on my plate. What surprised me was that there was not one selection I made that I did not thoroughly enjoy. That is not the norm in my experience. Most buffets do a few things well and the rest are just fillers to flesh out the display. Not at Uno 1. Everything was good: fried rice, lo mein, pepper steak, orange chicken, sushi, etc. Everything I tried I was very pleased with, so good job guys.
