Mr Mike's — Restaurant in Irwin

I've been ordering take out from Mr. Mike's since they started delivery and prior, would stop in to pick up my order. I have NEVER been disappointed... until tonight. I just wanted something light to pick on while watching a movie and ordered spinache - artichoke dip, which is one of my favorites. I've never tried it from Mr Mikes before, but given the fact that EVERYTHING I've ever ordered before far exceeded my expectations and was confident to have a similar experience. This was not the case. I like my artichoke dip to be cheesey and creamy, and this was my first indication something was off. Perhaps it was not hot enough so I heated it up for a minute or two to no avail. It still looked dry and lumpy. The "crustini" was nothing more than a stale, unbuttered baguette and the tortilla chips were salty and store bought, directly out of the bag. The final assault was the artichoke hearts were MARINATED so when heated, the vinegar marinade over-powered all the other ingrediante to make this appetiser totally inedible! (way too sour and salty) As stated earlier, everything I've had at Mr Mikes far exceed any Pub-style food I've ordered before, and to to have such a negative outcome is shocking. The last time I ordered from Mr Mike's the order was screwed up. The owner would not refund my money, he only offered a 20% discount on my next order and acted like he was doing me a huge favor. I ordered a steak and cheese hoagie with steak and cheese only, they put vegetables on it. I ordered a pizza with half pepperoni and half with pepperoni, and mushrooms. The whole pizza had mushrooms. They did not give me what I ordered and still expected me to pay for it. I wish I checked the food prior to getting it home because I would not have paid for it. I asked if I could bring the food back for a refund and the man I talked who claimed to be the owner said "what am I supposed to do with that food" I don't understand how you can expect someone to pay for something they did not order. With his generous offer of 20% off of my next order I would have to order close to $100 in food just to recoup my money wasted on my first order. Why would I place another order and get screwed again. I will never go to this place again, owner is rude and not a very good business man. He would rather stick someone with his restaurant's mistake than correct and earn repeat business. Every business makes mistakes, it's how they correct that is...

Food is usually good. Several times we have waited 40 plus minutes for our food. We visited tonight, and was very dissatisfied. After we got our drinks and ordered our food, we was told that the food would be another 45-60 minutes or more before we got our food and they said we could leave if we wanted. Apparantly their take out orders for Lent had swamped the kitchen. We decided with smaller kids, it would be better to leave. While we understood paying for the one beer that was consumed, the other beverages where barely touched. So a 9.00 bill for a very inconvenient and bad experience. After complaining to the waitress, she did take the other beverages off. Another 10 minutes and still no change after she asked if we wanted the change. We stood up and waited near the bar, and she asked then again if we wanted the change. I guess she felt a 3.00 tip was due to her for the inconvenience WE received.

This business lacks customer service and will nickel and dime you for anything possible. The wait staff have even apologize for extra charges for ranch and such. Lost a valued or non valued customer tonight. Each visit has gotten worse and this one was...
