Avoid this restaurant! I took my family to eat here twice while in Vieques. Both times the food and service were unacceptable. The meat and shrimp are extremely dry due to being overcooked, the fried fish has absolutely no flavor at all. There is zero authentic flavor due to the completely wrong ingredients being used for their dishes. Example, queso being made with only mozzarella cheese. The server ignored us each time until we had been there for at least 25-30 minutes, as he danced and talked at the cash register and the bartender made some of our drinks, but didn’t make one of our drinks until 30 minutes into sitting down and we were the only table there when we ordered. They do not bring napkins or silverware or waters, or really anything you order until you ask someone else for it multiple times. At each meal we wondered if we were being discriminated against due to being tourists, but in both cases there were no other open restaurants close by. Gas station food, Fast food or taco bell has better flavor and service than...
Read moreUpon arrival, the atmosphere was fun and vibrant and that’s where it stopped. Once seated we had to track down a server to order anything. Once we finally were waited on, the server read back our order to confirm. We didn’t see her again for 30 minutes. Our drinks arrived finally but the chips and salsa we ordered as an appetizer arrived with dinner (stale, watery tomato sauce, and on paper plates). Food arrived in spurts and also on paper plates and one member of our party never received his food even after 2-3 times prompting the server. Another member ordered a salad (on the menu had no mention of cheese or sour cream and it arrived with both) and she sent back since she didn’t know to ask for it without. We were charged for 2 salads. Food was meh at best. Finding anyone to assist was impossible and no one seemed to care or apologize for our experience. Don’t waste your...
Read moreI don't know who is posting comments here. We had rum punch, my wife had one, I had two. Solid cocktail. I got the pork burrito, it was great. My wife got the pork quesadilla again it was great. The salsa was homemade and was some of the best salsa we have ever had. Our waitress was really nice too. Our bill came to $50, very reasonable. We are from the states and live in Puerto Rico now.
Do not ever get the sampler or sampler platter in Puerto Rico, every time we ever got it, it was from a commissary somewhere in Puerto Rico and is not very good. It is always the same.
We did not order the sampler platter, in my opinion that is the only logical possibility for a bad review.
Also keep in mind, in Puerto Rico they are really gifted at cooking pork. Do not be afraid to order food in Puerto Rico they have the same health department as in the...
