This was our first time visiting this place, as it wasn't open during our previous three trips to Vieques in 2018, 2021, and 2023. The historic building is beautiful and we really enjoyed our dining experience. We visited on a Thursday at 7PM for dinner and I was glad I had called to make reservations via phone prior to our trip, as the place was busy and mostly full. For appetizer, we had bunuelos de bacalo (fish fritters) and for drinks we had a painkiller and tropical mule, all very good. For entrees, my wife chose the sirloin steak and I had one of the unlisted specials for the evening, a burger made from Puerto Rican sausage, with fries. For dessert, we enjoyed the fried cheesecake. The food was very good and the service was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. The wait for food was minimal, as compared to some other places on the island. Definitely recommend and...

It has been renovated to a restaurant and has such a welcoming vibe. We had the scallop special last night and were blown away with how delicious it was! Not heavy, just right, and oh so tasty! Well, we had to go back tonight and had the scallops again, as well as the chicken on top of to-die-for mashed potatoes. Sooo good! And we repeated the deep fried cheesecake for dessert! Just wow. We are leaving on Saturday (back to cold temps Canada π₯Ά) so we have booked dinner here for the next two nights. It is so nice to have great restaurant choices here in Isabel. And the jazz music is definitely a nice touch! Service is marvellous and friendly, do not miss El Plaza on your visit to Vieques! Ps try the coconut margarita...

The restaurant inside is a cool space; however we were seated outside. Normally, we prefer to eat outside as many other eateries have fans. However, there were no fans, and we were left to eat our entire dinner with a swarm of huge flies around us. We were seated quite quickly and the food came out quickly as well. When the grouper came out, I was surprised it was even a half pound, when it was marked one pound. There was barely any meat on it. I think a chicken wing has more meat on it, and for $35 each. If we had more time, Iβd consider going back and ordering something else, but I donβt understand how in good faith such a fish...
