The reviews I have read here are less than favorable for this place, so we did not give it a try right away. However, right before the storm (hurricane Ernesto) it was one of the few places that was open. They were also open right after the storm.

The place is fine. Not the best coffee I’ve ever had, and certainly not the worst. It feels very mainland, almost like a Starbucks. The servers seem friendly. I think one of the main complaints was that it is cash only. And that is unusual, (especially with so many ways to pay electronically, from taps to phones to other ways of using credit). So a place that only accepts cash is bound to receive some complaints. It was also a little bit more expensive than some of the other places that were selling coffee. But the coffee was good. Servers were very nice. The ice cream selection was interesting. Red velvet ice cream, anyone? And the cups are cute with handwritten notes written on them. Again, they were also one of the few places open after hurricane Ernesto, their generator was humming away, and a lot of folks were there, buying their coffee and tapping away on their laptops, trying to secure the next ferry or change airplane...

I don't like to leave bad reviews, however this one is very warranted. Even reading the replies of the owner here is very telling of her character and that of the people she hires. Hot latte was 3.50 for a 12 oz, ICED latte was 7... $3.50 for ice makes absolutely no sense. I myself am a barista and know that hot lattes take more milk due to displacement, more energy due to latte steaming, and overall more time. 7 ice cubes is not worth $3.50, I could buy an entire other coffee with that at a reasonable shop. Not to mention I asked for 12 oz, was given 16, and asked for one shot of espresso and 1.5 pumps of syrup. Was given at least 3 pumps and couldn't even taste the coffee. Completely ignored what I ordered and gave me whatever. Not to mention, surrounding stores will all feature rejected Christmas cups from this cafe because, like myself, other people were repulsed and couldn't finish theirs either. Lastly, service is horrible like the reviews mention. Cashier stared at me like I just insulted her family as I ordered my drink. Overall, simple kindness and basic level intelligence would be great...

Don’t waste your money and time by going here. We waited 40 minutes for two salads and two sandwiches and we had to go up to the counter after 30 because we were just waiting, a salad and sandwich were sitting in the sill for who knows how long, they didn’t tell us they were ready. The salad (tropical) didn’t come with dressing, they said they only had ranch and Caesar dressing (doesn’t go well with fruit) AFTER we ordered and had already paid. Turns out one of the salads wasn’t wrung up (Caesar) so they hadn’t even started making it yet. When it came out it looked almost identical to the tropical minus the fruit, just lettuce, parm, croutons, cherry tomatoes (?), and dressing on the side. I went up to tell them about the error, and the cashier asked if I would like a refund, but then the cook stepped in and said that’s how they make it, and tried to tell me it wasn’t so similar to the tropical salad. The manager refused to refund the Caesar salad even though they had gotten hostile. Completely not worth it, don’t waste your...

Always love stopping here, whether for ice cream or breakfast. We visited twice during our week stay in February 2023, once for ice cream and a second time for breakfast. Ice cream service is always friendly and fast. Breakfast was still friendly but much slower, despite it not being very busy at the time. We got breakfast sandwiches, donuts, and quesitos to go, which were very good. Be sure not to miss the quesitos, as they were amazing! This place will always be on our 'must visit' list when visiting Vieques.

In a word: SPECTACULAR! ❤️👌🏽 Excellent food, remarkable pastries, incomparable customer service, and a lovely ambiance. This is NOT fast food and line-order cooking, so orders take a while to be filled. HOWEVER, my friends, if you're in Vieques, then you better BE ON ISLAND TIME because otherwise you're not going to enjoy this beautiful paradise. (And, if the employees don't smile at you, you might want to complete a self-evaluation: You sort of get back what you put out into the universe!)
