Dickey's Barbecue Pit — Restaurant in Issaquah

If I can give a negative star I would in a heart beat. We catered them for our staff luncheon for teachers appreciation week. I went a week before the event, placed the order and paid in full. It was made very clear on the order that we need the food at 11:00 at the school, as events starts at 11:30 and teachers have only 45 min to eat before they go back to their classes. On the day of the event, I called at 10:30 to make sure, everything is as planned which they confirmed and said driver should be on the way. At 11:00 no one showed up. I called over 15 times no one is picking, finally a lady picks up and says don’t worry driver is few minutes late. 11:15 nothing, I call, again no answer to my hysterical calls, then they pick up, I say should I come get the food ? ( mind you school is 15 min away each way), no m’aam, driver is on his way. 11:25, a call from the store saying if you want the food, come pick it up!!!! I had to leave the school and go at an insane speed to only be greeted with the most insensitive staff, taking their sweet time to get my order together. I lost it at the store. I was back to school at 12:00, teachers had 15 min to shove it all in, everyone was sooooo stressed. This was a $600 purchase. To add insult to the injury the lady at the store kept saying” it’s not our problem” ??? So whose problem is that? How insensitive, unprofessional and stressful the whole experience was . No call from manager until now, or any of the staff to apologize. If I had the luxury of time I would asked for a full refund. NEVER AGAIN!! If you have an event to...

The food was tasty but check that you got all the items you ordered before you leave. I picked up an order I placed through the mobile app and there were 3 things wrong with it: (1) I was given a single bag and noticed there was no gallon of tea. I asked about it and then they remembered and gave me one. (2) When I got home, I noticed that the chicken sandwich I ordered was missing (although the sides that came with that item were there). I called the restaurant and got voicemail and was told to leave my contact info for a call back. I left my name, order number, phone number, and stated my issue, but never received a call back. (3) I had specified Carolina sauce, but was given Spicy BBQ sauce instead. This one is not a big deal, especially compared to the other 2.

That's 3 things wrong with a single order, the most problematic of which is the missing chicken sandwich since I didn't catch it before leaving the store. So expect to be extra vigilant if you place an order, or you could be paying for items you never receive.

UPDATE 5/27/2020: I received a call from the restaurant manager a day later and he explained this location doesn't have all the menu options that the app ordering allows, such as the Carolina Sauce and sandwiches. Catering Fail! We booked them for our wedding. Months ahead of time. My husband and I both confirmed the delivery time and address before the event. They were an HOUR AND A HALF LATE! We kept calling the store. They kept telling us they didn’t know where the driver was. Thankfully I happen to pick up my phone at some point and see a call from the driver. This was an hour and 15 minutes past the delivery time. I gave him directions. They were lost twenty minutes away from the venue. When they arrived they were quick to set up and the food was still hot. So that was a plus. But because of their tardiness the whole schedule was thrown off. My photographer was booked until 8. Any time we kept her after that would cost us $300 an hour. So she missed all the dancing, including our first dance. And I didn’t even do the bouquet toss cuz I was just so done after dealing with all of that. They told us to call back on Monday to talk about getting some of our money back.
