Frankie's Pizza — Restaurant in Issaquah

My recent visit was a mixed experience, offering some positives but also leaving room for improvement. As a local pizzeria, it has the potential to be a great spot, but there are a few areas that could use some enhancement.

Tasty Pizza Options: The pizza at Frankie's is generally good. I ordered a classic Pepperoni Pizza and a Veggie Pizza. The crust was nicely baked, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. Never had been in before, but wanted to have a cheat meal and pizza sounded awesome. Hard to find a place that does by the slice esp in issaquah unless you want Costco. I had driven by a million times and always saw they have pizza by the slice.

So, today wanting my cheat pizza I walked in. The shop is nothing fancy and there is nowhere to even eat the slices. They have two or three chairs but not tables, so that was a little weird but hey, eat in your car I guess. As for the ordering process and pizza? Ordering was fine, the guy on the register was cool, not overly friendly, but not rude either. Just the way I like it. They have a lunch special $5.50 for two slices of pizza and if you want a 20oz Coke it bumps it up a buck 25. So, for $6.75 I got two NY size pieces of pizza. You can't get a burger at McDonald's for that...so kudos to Frankie's for having a nicely priced lunch special.

As for the pizza it self, I'm no pizza expert. But I know two things. The sauce can't be sweet and it needs to have a ton of cheese. Check and check. I got a slice of pepperoni and a slice of their Hawaiian. Both were awesome! Nice tangy tomato base, great amount of cheese and they were generous on the amount of meat on the pies.

Absolutely awful service. Be warned. They had missing items from my order, and when I called to report, they said they would make a note and asked me to call back and confirm because the manager wasn't there. Four days later, I called to see if anything had been done, and they said no note was made, and I'm not going to be refunded or comp'd the salad they didn't include.

Good food, when it arrives properly.

Annoying punk kids who work there that are clearly teenagers and have ZERO CUSTOMER service skills.

Better hope your order arrives perfectly, because you won't be getting it fixed otherwise. Time for some...
