I visited this location with a friend during the streatery event that's been going on weekly. Firstly there was a bit of a wait which was fine but it took about 10 mins for someone to take our name and we weren't even given an ETA. We waited around for another 15mins and were eventually seated inside the restaurant. While I applaud them for using QR codes for menus during this time period I felt like the digital menu was horribly done. The layout was quite bad and was clearly not optimized for mobile devices. I ordered the french dip ($17) while my friend ordered the levitate salad ($12) and pub fires ($9) which totaled $38. I had three beers ($7/each) while my friend had two mixed drinks ($12/each) which totaled ($55). Personally I felt like some of the items were overpriced ($9 for a basket of fries is ridiculous. Realistically this should be a $75 meal). While the food wasn't bad it also wasn't worth some of what I paid. My french dip seemed rather average with the best part being the Grand Central baguette. The roast beef seemed more dried out than it should be. I also asked for a side salad instead of fries and it seemed barely present on my plate when I was served. Our waitress was great and checked on us about a dozen times and was prompt when closing out the bill. Overall with tip the meal cost me approximately $125 but I don't really feel like the food or experience measured up...
Read moreI've been here twice now and both times the food was mediocre at best, and terribly overpriced. I got the same waitress both times. The first time she she scowled the entire time and barely spoke to us, until she brought the bill at which time she smiled and laughed and couldn't have been friendlier! When the charge cleared my bank it was $15 higher than it was supposed to be. When I called I got the waitress who insisted SHE was the manager when I asked, and as soon as I explained the problem she promised me a $20 gift card. No questions asked. Didn't remove the charge from my bank, so in reality it was only a $5 offer. The second time I was in the service was even worse. After ordering my beer I waited for 15 minutes while she played on her phone. Finally got her attention and asked for my beer. She brought it, slammed it on the table, and started to walk away without taking my food order. I got her to take the order and that's the last I saw of her until she brought my bill. This time she didn't even try to be friendly. I NEVER saw a smile out of her or any type of courtesy the entire time I was there. I didn't leave a tip. If I could give this review less than one star I would. I'll never go back to this restaurant again, it was the worst service I've ever...
Read moreWent on July 3rd. You wound think the place would be happening but it was dead. So with 4 or more servers on staff, you would think service would be good. It took more than 10 minutes for someone to get our water and menu. Every time I looked over, waitresses were gathered at the middle station doing nothing. We really wanted beer and the menu says “ask our staff for a beer list”. We asked and she pointed to a wall in the back corner that had all the beers. There was a party sitting in front of it. Basically I had to get up and walk almost at the other table to read it. So what if I was at the front or back patio? Would I have to get up and look at the beer list? Get a paper beer list!!! Second. They were out of the wings at 7 PM? We ordered the pub fries. My wife wanted to try the tacos but I said why bother when there is 42 Cantina down the road (which we went to and it was hoppin and friendly!). The fries were good. My wife wanted mayo and they said they didn’t have any, they make aioli. So a restaurant doesn’t have any Mayo? I give this place a good rating for food. Poor service. But I won’t be back. If I have out of town visitors that would be the last place I take them. It didn’t help when the bathroom was out of soap and I count several flies...
