This place was empty on a Wednesday at 1 P.M., only 3 other people showed up while we were there. The only reason we can think of is the atmosphere and the food prices because everything else was perfect! We ordered a combo plate each. The food was served relatively quickly hot, juicy and well presented. My wife did end up sending the “Mac and Cheese” back as the pasta was way overcooked to the point of mushiness. The bread is a slice of store sliced bread and not made in house. The baby back ribs were meaty and they gave us both one extra. The brisket was hot, juicy perfectly cooked and smoked. Potato salad was good, but on the sweet side, coleslaw chunky cut but nicely dressed. The sauces provided was a home run, both the sweet and the spicy. If you are finicky about properly cooked/smoked ribs, this is your go to place! Parking close was easy behind the restaurant, but….unless you are a Kansas City Chiefs football fan, the decor will disappoint and doesn’t prove to be comfortable. Bathroom are OK if you don’t mind unisex. They are a little stingy with the little cups of bbq sauce. And removing charges to your order proves challenging for there computer software. For the money they are charging for this food, some upgrades are in order.

I really enjoyed the feint sight and smell of wonderful real wood hickory hanging in the air as we walked in. The atmosphere is down to earth, staff were very friendly in a "you're family" warm kind of way, and I was impressed by the bar collection but was unable to try a drink due to working/lunch break. As for the food, everything was fantastic, one of the more proper BBQ Washington has to offer, great smoke flavor, texture, juiciness, even salt level was on point, also worth noting that they have some of the best baked beans I've ever had. loadedwith pork and spices, they're next level. The only reason I give 4 stars is because they are very pricey for the quantity. Is stans awesome? Yes. 100%. are they $31 per lunch awesome? No.... I'd happily pay $18-20 in this area for the quality and quantity once in a while but not on the regular. Otherwise I have only good things to say about the place.

The food was...pretty average. Don’t get be wrong, the BBQ was good, but the potato salad tasted like it was bought from a grocery store rather than made fresh. It was ok, I ate all of it, but not special in any way. The pulled pork and beef brisket were expertly cooked and not fatty at all. Their sauces are good, but not “wow”. Drink prices are pretty outrageous: $3.25 for a pop. The food is on the expensive side ($13.99 for a sandwich with one side) and there’s no onions or anything served with the sandwich. The portion of meat served with the sandwich is plentiful, so that’s a big plus. Overall though, I’d say unless you get a Groupon to get a good discount, there are places that are just as good for less money (Dickies) or better for the same money (Jimmy Macs).

Never. Ever. Again.

There is nothing whatsoever “smoked” about this 69 cent Mac and ….well I refuse to include the word cheese —because the restaurant refused to add any when they boiled these cheap noodles, didn’t add a single seasoning, & marked it up 500%.

It is Sunday night & there’s zero chance any part of these old dry tiny ribs were cooked after Thursday at best. The bones are not dark and blackened from a grill…they’re grey dark from being too old to sell & the meat is fry brown.

The Reecers potato salad folks who premake the packaged potato salad for local grocery chains need to get to Stans because it’s extremely clear that’s what this is. Please also see photos I’ve attached. It’s painfully obvious that no one at Stan’s Bbq had the inclination to bother with anything beyond dumping a lump of this into a paper cup (out of the plastic tub it came in when they bought it last week) in order to pass it off as restaurant food & have the nerve to charge an unsuspecting public….& believe me, they did zero to warrant the markup clearly made evident by the fact they did not add a single ingredient ….couldn’t be bothered with so much as a grain of salt —see photos, you won’t find even a flake of pepper …or any other seasoning or ingredient that wasn’t already in the premix. Nothing but grainy old potato like substance with small crunchy bits that taste like the potato substance because it’s all been in the plastic tub for weeks. To me this was the most egregious piece of getting scammed into believing was ordering a quality meal that was prepared recently.

This is a super lazy eatery who repackages items in order to overcharge the folks who support this business. I will never count myself among these supporters again. If you choose to dine on this establishment’s offerings just get comfortable with the fact that the food is horrible and so are the owner’s ethics in the way of service or honesty about what you’re eating, where it came from, and who...

I am from Kansas City so I: 1) know something about good BBQ, and 2) love the Chiefs! This is a local BBQ joint in downtown Issaquah and is a Chiefs bar. Every Sunday (or Monday or Thursday) during football season you will find this place packed with Chiefs fans (which I love).

As far as the food (and drinks). The menu is pretty slim, it's all meat all the time here... not a vegetable in sight (trust me, I looked) - but that's okay as long as you know ahead of time. The BBQ... I've eaten here a few times and been both pleasantly satisfied and wanting. The pulled pork is wonderful and smokey and deep; the pork ribs - not so much "fall off the bone" as "tear off the bone" (not what you should see in BBQ), however not bad taste; the chicken is damn good; the brisket is brisket (I don't really for brisket in general though). Being a "KC place" I would love to see burnt ends (KC's signature BBQ dish), however it is not to be. Some ways to possibly improve: diversify the menu a bit besides the mainstay BBQ - fries, salads, some green stuff. Also, if you want to be a true Sports Bar, some larger TVs and MLB games (KC also has the Royals) would be fantastically appreciated... The drinks are quite good here too.

All in all, not a bad little place for some BBQ, good drinks, and Midwest...
