Bubba's 33 — Restaurant in Jackson Township

We were originally blown away with this place, but only the first couple of visits. The service was truly, truly excellent, the seating is spacious and comfortable, and the garlic knots were out of this world, and the flavored lemonades are delicous!

At least that was our experience the first 2 times.

In subsequent visits, the service and seating has remained excellent, but the food has gone way, WAY downhill. On our first visit, the Garlic Knots were so good we came there again literally for the knots, even though we're not typically appetizer ordering people. Those two times they were gigantic, fluffy pillows of deliciousness that, while essentially just bread, were a worthy entree all themselves. The third time we came, the Garlic Knots were barely half the size as before, if that, still tasted good though. The other food on our third visit was not very exciting either, the pizza had an almost 3" inch crust of bare, sauce and toppingless bread and the whole thing was sloppy. The burger was strictly mediocre.

This last time we went to give it one more try in case the 3rd visit was a fluke was even worse. The Garlic Knots were even smaller, teeny tiny things that could be eaten in one bite, still tasty though. While the pizza was at least not so sloppy as the previous time, it was strictly okay. The burger though ... I tried the black and blue burger, and it was not good. While the burger may have started at 1/2 a pound, this thing was so incinerated that it was smaller than my daughter's kids cheeseburger. It was also completely flavorless, if there was cajun seasoning on it as advertised I couldn't tell, though it could have been drowned out in the incredibly runny sauce that was dripping everywhere. Fries were tasty.

We honestly felt like we could have had a tastier meal grabbing Little Caesars and a fast food burger, and for less than half the price.

While the service is consistently excellent here, seriously, their service staff is the highlight of any visit, the skimping on food portions and quality while charging a premium price has...

My 1st time there was very disappointed after being recommended by a friend. We ordered the Big appetizer with wings fried pickles mozzarella sticks everything was good with that appetizer but they did really fill in with a lot of fried pickles could have had a couple more wings or a couple more mozzarella sticks but it's what it is. Got our meals a club sandwich and macaroni with bacon and crust topping. I was asked if I wanted fries or tater tots with the sandwich and I'm not crazy about either but I haven't had tater tots in years but when I got them they were hard and crispy and nasty I told the waitress she said well that's how we fix them. I get it!!! We also both got a side salad which was my fault afterwards I thought the salad was $1.99 and it end up being $4.99 for a salad because we added it as an extra instead of a substitute which I would have gladly substituted the nasty tater tots for a salad I didn't realize that was an option being my first time there she was not very helpful. We both got a drink the drinks were very good. I just was not happy with the waitress she was nice but she just was not over accommodating. And I was not pleasantly happy about the food. So chances of going back or recommending the place it certainly won't get a good recommendation from me. My bill ended up being $70 which I thought was a little steep and that was even without the tip. I will definitely choose another place to eat next time that Bubba 33 is brought up. My husband, friend and I went out to dinner tonight. Typically when we go we have very little to no problems that I EVER need to complain about.

My server checked on our table twice ( we sat in the middle section ) and when all 3 drinks were empty he only asked to bring refills out for 2 out of the 3 of us. I had to ask for a refill for my husband. Most of the time we had a food runner to our table, I know that if they get busy they send out a food runner, but our server never brought us our food once. And it wasn’t very busy tonight, since I was a server before, I know how to read those kitchen screens. I could see the screen in the kitchen, and I could tell it wasn’t very busy from looking at it.

Tonight I ordered the fried Buffalo Chicken sandwich and it came out RAW. Luckily the manager walked up to the table to check in on our food or else I probably would have never probably been able to tell someone. The manager did end up leaving the raw chicken on my table for another few minutes before returning to see if I wanted to order more food or not, which I did. I understand the raw food wasn’t the servers fault, but once the manager took the food and put in a new order, the server never came to check on me about my food or anything.

I just feel like tonight was a real bust, and I was really excited to enjoy a night out tonight, but didn’t receive that, and I left very disappointed...
