Bop's Frozen Custard — Restaurant in Jackson

Just went through Bop's for a treat for the family. I had some gift certificates that I had bought them for Christmas. We went to use them and was told that they no longer accepted them since they are under new management or something and that there were signs posted and they put it on the Facebook and what not. We were told that they took them up until March 15th and that the manager there got in trouble for the last couple of times that he took them. I don't understand why you would not accept them until they were gone. This means that money was thrown away. Which is terrible. The gift certificates didn't cover but about half our order which is always in excess of $25 every time we visit, cause let's face it, Bop's ain't cheap. I wanted to drive off and leave the order where it was, but my husband really wanted his shake. I know they probably won't miss my funky little money, but I truly hope that $13 was worth losing customers over as my family, immediate and extended, will no longer be frequenting this establishment. My order was pure disappointment. I ordered a concrete Anna Banana and a vanilla cone. The concrete was far from what it was supposed to be. Instead of a nice thick custard that I could scoop through, I got a half melted, soupy mess with the banana not even being throughly chopped up. Half of the banana was left completely whole. It feels as if they purposely deceived me by adding a nice slice of each fruit on the top to hide the mess beneath. The ice cream for the cone was not as cold as it was supposed to be as well. We recently visited Bops Frozen Custard to buy treats and were excited to use gift certificates we had. Our total was over $23, so we expected no issues. However, we were told we couldn’t use the certificates at all, which was both surprising and frustrating. It’s disappointing that over something as small as $13 in certificates, they were willing to lose customers. We left upset and won’t be returning.
