The Mighty Crab (Jackson) — Restaurant in Jackson

Food was excellent. Server Tye was superb!!!. But after my coworker and I finished our food, I noticed a roach on her chest and immediately the staff reported it to the manager Mr. Ricky. He came over and stated he has no control over the pest and gave the impression that we needed to leave immediately to keep from alarming the other customers about the pest issue. Mr. Ricky is very rude and unprofessional. This was my second unpleasant encounter with him while dining at Mighty Crab. Customers should not be treated unfairly because they encounter pest while dining and they definitely shouldn't be given a hint to leave in order to avoid unwarranted attention from other customers that may also find it a nuisance and health concern that pest continue to crawl around their dining area. A waiter finally came and killed the roach stating she only did it because "they were taking pictures". I am appalled that Mr. Ricky and his staff got angry with us for having an issue with roaches while at this restaurant. Upon leaving, I asked the Hostess for the owners name and she stated that he worked in the kitchen and that he didn't speak English with an attitude. We both definitely will not be going back to...

This place needs some work. The staff has no enthusiasm what so ever. It takes 15 to 20 minutes before anyone comes to the table to greet you and ask what you want. They take the order, and it takes another 20 minutes to get your drink. The food came out in an okay fashion. I had the create your own boil. I had the crawfish and mussels. I had about 5 crawfish in the bag and 15 muscles with corn and potatoes. I'm guessing they weighed the bag with the corn and potatoes. The crawfish taste like they had been frozen because they were so mushy, they wouldn't come out the shell without falling apart. They didn't have an ounce of seasoning. The mussels had too much seasoning to the point, I couldn't swallow it because it was too salty. I had the garlic butter with mild seasoning. The Mr. said his food was ok. It wasn't what he expected and the little one didn't eat her chicken tenders at all. I'm guessing they don't have a kids menu because the server gave my 4yr old an adult cup and portion size food. My husband and I were looking for a nice place to eat snowcrab legs while in the area. It narrowed it down to two places. We picked this one because of the reviews and location to our hotel. We could not have been more pleased. Plenty of parking, clean area, and nice restaurant. We were seated as soon as we arrived and Jasmine was our waitress. The atmosphere was quite, very well decorated, and lots to look at. She was very friending, prompt, and cared for every need. Our food arrived quickly. There was plenty of food and the seasoning was spot on (not too over powering but enough to enjoy the taste). My husband usually uses a lot of butter but the garlic butter sauce it was cooked in it made it just prefect. He didn't even touch the extra butter. My husband and I have eaten crab legs at a lot of places all over the US, but this is our favorite so far. The price was very reasonable for a nice sit-down dinner, not to mention crablegs.
