I definitely liked Hub City Deli. I was there for lunch and it was slammed! The food was very good. Fresh meats, cheeses, salads. I purchased the half sandwich/half salad combo. Great price! Considering youâre getting fresh, deli meats and cheeses and everything else is high quality fare, the prices are excellent. There are a couple of things that I did not like, but they are minor. The cacophony was difficult for my friends and me to hear each other when we spoke. Sound-dampening materials would be a great idea. Also, due to the noise, it was hard to hear the employees yelling the patronsâ names when they were bringing out the food to the patronsâ tables. Giving each patron a number on a stand, to place on their table, would help in this situation. But, after all, it is a new place, and there are sometimes âbugsâ to work out. Great place! Good food! Yâall are doing a great job! The employees did a terrific job keeping up with the crowd, and were...
Read moreMy husband, Casey, really enjoyed his brisket sandwich. My sandwich, which was takeout, was completely wrong. Online, the menu says if youâd like to craft your own sandwich, theyâd be happy to. The woman taking my order didnât seem to know that. She was very kind but seemed surprised that I was asking to make my own. I wanted a veggie sandwich. She charged me for a turkey and bacon sandwich. She repeated my order and had everything correct; turkey and avocado on a hoagie, not wheat, minus the turkey, bacon and sprouts, add pickle and onion. The receipt taped to the bag even had all items correct. I got home and I received the turkey and avocado sandwich as is, on wheat. I didnât have the time to go back and have my order corrected so I had to just waste that $10. I know they are just opening and I plan to return in hopes that the kinks are worked out. This just seemed like a complete oversight since my order was put...
Read moreI had the Alabama sandwich and as a resident of Alabama for 24 years, I would like to describe my experience.
I ordered it with extra white sauce because there isn't a such thing as too much white sauce. As I took my first bite, I closed my eyes. Instantly, I was taken to Bryant Denny Stadium. Nick Saban had just thrown his headset on the ground because Bama was only winning by 40 and gave up a first down. As I took another bite, I was watching as Toomer's Corner was being rolled with toilet paper. As I chewed and chewed, I was taking a break at the Townley rest stop (look it up). As I got to the last bite I realized that i can have a little slice of manna in Tennessee. Best sandwich ever! Even if it isn't your thing, anything you get from this place is a winner just like the state of Alabama is when it comes to...
