Arby's — Restaurant in Jacksonville

Had a cravings for some Gyros and this was the only place came to mind from previous experience out of town.

I ordered 2 Gyros sandwiches, one meal combo and one extra sandwich. Somehow counter help didn't understand what I wanted and gave me 2 Gyros instead. No big deal, didn't really want soda or fries any way, I thought it would've come out cheaper

My wife did order a Gyros combo meal, which we shared the drink and fries.

Gyros themselves were O.K in taste, the tzatziki sauce was terrible, tasted too vinegary and it ruined what was mediocre tasting Gyros, compared to one I went to in Wilmington, NC.

Overall @$17, they were o.k to say the least and we did feel full. Although Gyros themselves were larger than one in Wilmington, which was basically a small burrito size, taste wasn't there.

UPDATE: 09-17-2022. My wife decided she want to try Arby's again.

I got gyro combo, she got roast beef sandwich.

I requested tzatziki on the side, due to really bad tazting sauce last visit.

They must have changed the recipe of got a different batch, it was actually better and tasty this time.

Something just reminded me to leave a review that is probably 15 years overdue, but this Arby's location literally changed my life.

I'm a huge fan of Arby's Horsey sauce. I used to order a roast beef sandwich just to get some extra Horsey sauce.

I would always ask the cashier how many packets they'd have to give me to get fired, and joke "ok, subtract one - that's how many packets I want".

Once, at this location, a new cashier didn't know how to handle my request. So, naturally, she asked the manager on duty. That manager brought me a FULL, overflowing bag of packets.

I was going through some real hard times. I had just had a bunch of stuff stolen from me, was working 2 jobs while going to school and trying to pay off credit card and tax debt. I felt like the world wanted to crush me.

The manager had no idea how much her silly, kind gesture meant to me. I was laughing all the way to my car, and then I cried.

My situation didn't magically improve, but that crushing feeling was gone, so swept away in a tide of Horseradish sauce. Arby's Manager whose name I don't...
