I love chipotle I really do. Their food is delicious. Consistantly delicious. Their portions are awesome. You get what you pay for. Chipotle has high standards for their team members. Team members are empowered to do thier very best. Chipotle uses high quality ingredients organic and all natural foods and condiments. CHIPOTLE DOES NOT USE GMO's IN THEIR FOOD. which I find highly admirable of CHIPOTLE. GMO (short for “genetically modified organism”) is a plant, animal or microbe in which one or more changes have been made to the genome, typically using high-tech genetic engineering, in an attempt to alter the characteristics of an organism. CHIPOTLE supports the farmers & their communities. That being said, ONE OF THE FIRST THINGS I LOOK AT WHEN I ENTER A RESTAURANT IS THE CLEANLINESS OF THE ESTABLISHMENT. I GO DIRECTLY INTO THE REST ROOM TO WASH MY HANDS AND TO TAKE A LOOK SEE AT THE CLEANLINESS OF THE RESTROOM. THE RESTROOM WAS DISGUSTING. THE FLOORS WERE DIRTY AND THE TRASH BINS WERE OVER FLOWING WITH GARBAGE. THERE WAS NO EXCUSE FOR IT. THE RESTAURANT WAS NOT FULL, WHEN I WALKED IN, THERE WAS ONLY ONE PERSON THERE BESIDES MYSELF. AND THERE WERE 5 TEAM MEMBERS THAT COULD SEE!! SO WHY WAS IT, THAT THE RESTROOM AND FLOORS SO DIRTY?? THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS. THE COUNTERS WHERE THE FOOD WAS SERVED WERE CLEAN. THE TEAM MEMBERS HAD CLEAN UNIFO65RMS AND WORE GLOVES. THEY WERE FRIENDLY AND SMILED. I ORDERED ONLINE A CHICKEN BOWL. THEY MADE MY CHICKEN BOWL PERFECT. THE FOOD SO DELICIOUS. THE BOWL WAS PACKED. I WAS HAPPY ABOUT THAT. BUT NOT HAPPY AT THE CLEANLINESS OF THE RESTAURANT. THATS WHY I GAVE IT...
Read moreI saw the Chipotle commercial featuring the Carne Asada and decided to drop in for lunch. I arrived shortly after they opened and everything was freshly prepared in the steam table. The server was very sweet and explained the menu options to me. For instance, you can get a bowl, or a burrito, or taco, or salad with your choice of different items. The entree is a flat price and then you pay for add ons like salsa, chips, jalapenos, sour cream, etc. I think it's supposed to mimick the flavor of the Mexican street food or the beloved Taco Truck. I got my Carne Asada served over a bed if rice with some black beans and I also got a salsa add on the side. The entree was good except the meat was kind of tough and I really didn't taste the same wonderful flavors they mention in the commercial where they show how the Carne Asada is cooked. It was sort of bland and dry. The black beans and the rice were much better. The salsa is just the right amount of heat and lots of great flavor, but for me, it just seemed they over processed it. I prefer my salsa a little chunkier. This was like dumped in a good processor and left on high until if was nothing but a puppy red liquid. So, I am just not that impressed with my first ever trip to Chipotle. I would recommend Peppers Mexican Grill instead, but then that's not really fast food like Chipotle. The other consideration is the price. I thought it was slightly pricey for fast food, especially the way they charge for all the add ons. It was definitely fresh, hit, and fast and the service was very good. I may go back and try a burrito, but I will skip the Carne Asada next time - if there is...
Read moreUpdate: I don’t know what the deal is with this location but skip it and go to another. The availability of ingredients is unreliable. The staff turnover is so frequent the quality is extra inconsistent. And the biggest problem: they’re sometimes all digital, sometimes not and it’s seemingly random. So if you pop in to grab a burrito you may just leave hungry because you can’t actually order in store.
Not even worth stopping in.
Update: this place has fallen apart in the last year. I'm sure COVID can be blamed in part but after a 3 consecutive visits I have stopped eating here.
The turnover in staff is obvious if you stop in more than once a month. So portions and quality are all over the place. $12 for 8 pieces of dry chicken and a half scoop of browning guacamole isn't worth it.
Sometimes they have stuff, sometimes they don't. It'll be listed in the app but in store they won't have it. Maybe it'll be listed on the door, but more often not. Check before you wait in line 30 minutes to find out they don't have steak, fajita peppers, guacamole, or lettuce.
Old review: This is my preferred Chipotle location in Jacksonville. Staff is usually great, the food is fresh, and the sitting...
