On October 7th, 2025 I went to a Mexican restaurant called Chuy's in Jacksonville, Florida. The restaurant was recommended by a friend that is from Jacksonville. The address is 4914 Town Center Parkway, Jacksonville, Florida (32246), and it is located in the St. John's Town Center, and you could see it from the road. They didn’t have outdoor seating, but their greenery was cut very nicely and in place. They served Tex Mex, so it was your usual Mexican restaurant you would go to back at home. It has lights around the ceiling on the outside, which gave me a very peaceful and nostalgic feeling. We went late at night so we were the only people there, but we still got really good service and food. They had appetizers that ranged from $6-$11, and the entrees were from $12-$18. The place was also decorated, with a lot of pictures of famous people all in black and white, but the rest of the restaurant was full of bright colors. It was clean and the floor was very shiny, and our table was clean when we sat down. Overall without our food, it was a very nice restaurant. Our server was very nice, and she even remembered all of our orders without writing them down which was very impressive. She didn’t forget about us, and constantly asked if we needed anything, so she was very on top of things and made sure we had what we needed. She checked in with us to make sure the food was good, if we needed anything, and made sure we had enough to drink. We never ran out of chips (we’re athletes we ate around 6 baskets of chips). When the food came out to us it was exactly how we ordered it, so the customer service was very nice. Another thing that also impressed me personally is when she brought out our receipts after an hour and a half of doing other things she got them right without having to ask who got what. For my drink, I got the best option, Dr. Pepper. I ordered queso with some chips, which is my favorite thing to get when eating Mexican food. When it came out I was surprised, because in every Mexican place I have been to the queso has been white, but this one was orange. We could tell that it was just Velveeta cheese, but it was still really good. Since the queso was spicy the Velveeta had a bit more of a tangy taste, but I personally like spicy food so that’s what made it still stand out to me even though it wasn’t what I expected. However, it was on the thick side which did get annoying, since so many chips kept breaking when we would dip them which made our hands messy. It was a normal spicy queso which I personally always love. For my entree I got chicken quesadilla's, and yes it's simple, but a classic and I really enjoyed them. It smelled amazing, and was hot so I knew it was fresh. The cheese was still oozing out, instead of being on the cold and more on the solidified side. The entree comes with four small, but on the thicker side quesadillas, and originally comes with grilled chicken, shredded mozzarella cheese, peppers, and onions, all on a flour tortilla. I personally don’t like peppers or onions so I had them taken off. I will say there was a lot more cheese than I would have liked, but mozzarella cheese is my favorite kind of cheese so it wasn’t awful. Even with that being said the cheese did overpower the chicken. The chicken wasn’t dry, and it was seasoned very well. It wasn’t spicy, it definitely had more of a smoky taste which I personally enjoyed. They were pretty big so I took home three to eat. My entree also came with a side of guacamole, pico, and sour cream. I used the sour cream for my quesadilla's, but unfortunately I didn't like the guacamole or pico. Yes, I knew I wouldn't like them but I always like to try things that I know I don't like hoping that my taste buds have changed. The tortilla was nice and crispy, and it wasn’t burnt. Altogether, the meal was really good and I would...

Chuy’s is located in Jacksonville, Florida, in the St. Johns Town Center. It was recommended by a friend who lives in the area and was easy to find in the busy shopping center. The lively surroundings and festive lights complemented the Mexican theme, giving the restaurant’s exterior a cheerful, colorful look. Chuy’s serves Mexican and Tex Mex styled food, which includes a wide range of classic dishes with many different specific touches. It is a very laid back restaurant where they sit you down and serve you. The majority of the entrees cost somewhere between $12 and $18, which was a pretty normal price range for this style of food. Any casual dressing would be perfect for this restaurant. With all of the bright fun colors, decorations, and original artwork on every wall, Chuy’s brought a fun and upbeat vibe to our dinner time. The restaurant was brought to life because of the music that they kept playing in the background. At the time we went, we were the only group in the restaurant, which gave us a very calm and private surrounding. Families, friends, and any adults seeking an enjoyable night out would find great comfort in this restaurant. The service was excellent. We were greeted and seated right away, and our server was friendly and attentive, checking on us several times. The food arrived quickly and exactly as it was ordered. Even though it was late, the staff never rushed us and remained welcoming throughout. The menu at Chuy’s was large and diverse. A variety of dips, nachos, and quesadillas. We ordered the large cheese dip, which was exceptional. It was creamy, flavorful, and had a special ingredient that made it more unique than a typical queso. A range of burritos, tacos, enchiladas, fajitas, and combination plates. My steak burrito had just cheese and steak, the steak was delicious and tender, though I personally wish it had come with a bit more queso on top. They offered traditional sweets like tres leches cake and flan, though I was too full to try one. A good mix of soft drinks, flavored lemonades, and non-alcoholic margaritas. Chuy’s is open Sunday through Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. They serve lunch and dinner, with happy hour specials on weekdays. Overall, I really enjoyed my visit. The food was flavorful, the service was fast, and the environment was both lively and comfortable. The cheese dip was the highlight, and my friends loved their chicken enchiladas and fajitas. Everything tasted freshly prepared, and the staff genuinely cared about our experience. I am posting this review to help others looking for a great Tex-Mex restaurant in Jacksonville. The staff at Chuy’s deserve recognition for their friendly service and tasty food, especially considering how welcoming they were even...

What a Gem!!! The food is fantastic. Our meals offered plenty of flavor, spice, and a wonderful contrast of hot & cold in the same bite! This location is definitely in the saved re-run list.

Our visit was around 8pm on a weekday...shortly before closing. There was no crowd, only a few other patrons inside on our visit. There was a small staff covering all the tables...our server was a mix of people including the bartender...the service was not lacking...everyone was friendly and pitched in to help! Our wait for food was a little bit lengthy for a not so busy time. We ordered an appetizer to go with the complementary chips and salsa. This location was clean and tidy showing nothing in need of repair...although it would be hard to spot as the decoration style would camouflage it ;). There is a large outdoor seating area available that is close to the same size as available inside seating.

We were a party of four with one herbivore and three carnivores, and the menu offered plenty of choices for all of us . We ordered four different entrees, and with sides our entire table came to life! Our table was a food party, as it was filled with a colorful variety of foods and dips-from my experience this is the pattern of many Latino food eateries ;) so if you are hungry Latino is a great choice.

This location is in the heart of the St John's Town center shopping district...great for those evening date nights or a bite to eat after a long day of shopping. Easy to find and a short jog from the expressway. This location had plenty of parking, but no recommendation for large trucks with trailers or RV's.

Our meals were fairly priced-about 10-15 per person. I felt the appetizer - a bowl of queso dip - was a bit pricey for what it was, but it felt justifiable for the amount of chips and salsa that was complementary. If you're on a budget when the server asks casually if you would like a bowl of queso or guac...pay attention ;). Overall the value-food-service ratio was above average, and based on our experience we can't wait to revisit...

Overall the value-food-service ratio was above average, and based on our experience we can't wait to revisit this location.
