Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Jacksonville

I had originally stopped going here months ago because a man that works at this location has the most disgusting nails. I’m all for long nails on either gender. I really don’t care. What bothered me was they were clearly chewed/fraying in all directions and dirty. If you’re going to have long nails at a food place they HAVE to be well kept. Regardless if they’re actually touching my food it’s unappetizing to see a worker with that issue. If that’s how they have their nails how do they treat the food when no one is around?

The most recent visit and the reason I won’t return to this specific location is one tall blonde with a serious attitude. I could understand if they were busy, but they weren’t. The other two young girls there were so nice I wish they worked at the other Jersey Mike’s. I have no idea what the older tall blonde lady’s problem was. I asked her to go light on the mayo and she put so much on it was literally falling off the side of the bun. It wasn’t like I asked once either. I said what I would like, she repeated, I saw how much she grabbed, I repeated, she proceeded to put the amount she grabbed on it, I repeated AGAIN, she ignored me and just put it together. My husband had to talk to her to get her to listen and then she acted like it was a big deal, threw away the bun smothered in mayo, grabbed a new one and put light mayo on the new one. I also asked for extra tomatoes 3 times and she ignored me every time till my husband stepped in. It’s not like we were rude or complicated. The sandwiches aren’t cheap so I’M SOOO SORRY you had to make it right. If you want a sandwich seriously consider their other location. The people at the other location are nice, they listen, they’ve never given me attitude even when I did have a complicated order, and they’ve never screwed up a sandwich.

Terrible service from manager. I actually went to the jersey Mike's down the road near the new publix store. I went in for lunch at about 11:35 there was two people in front of me. With one sandwich each. The lady was incredibly slow at completing both the sandwich and the transaction and we were in line for about 15 minutes before the manager stepped in and begin preparing the sandwiches and rudely told the woman to run the register. His attitude and tone was rude and disrespectful. As a manager he should be more professional and respectful. When it was my turn I ran my Samsung pay 3 times and he said it didn't work. He also told me he's never seen anyone pay with their phone before then went back to making the sandwiches. His bad mood and uncaring behavior is not worth the money. It is an expensive sub place. 12.99 for a sub combo is a bit much so I expect the service to be worth my wait. I have always enjoyed the sandwiches but I can find somewhere else to eat. So this sub place is right next to my work so I have chellenged my self to try every sub on the menu and review it. So this review will be about the place itself and staff and then the sub I had today. The staff is awesome is about the only can you can say the bald guy has a bunch of jokes and good info. The tall lady that works there is just awesome and a delight to talk to. Then you have the two sisters one short and one tall that I tried both of their subs already. They are pretty awesome too. They all are always smiling and making small talk which is super nice. They are polite respectful and remember third customers I have seen it a couple times. So today's sub was a bacon chicken chipolte wrap which was pretty dang good.
