Logans Roadhouse- The Temu of steakhouses.
Imagine sitting down in a place you're expecting to be the epitome of American dining â all-American burgers, steaks, and sides. Youâve heard it from your friends, family, even seen those enticing commercials that promise hearty portions and flavors that'll leave your taste buds singing. Well, let me tell ya, Loganâs Roadhouse was supposed to be the answer to all my culinary prayers, but instead, it turned out to be a rather underwhelming experience.
As soon as I walked into the establishment, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The place looked nice and smelled great, which only made the arrival of my food feel even more disappointing. The interior design was a mix of classic Americana meets country-western, complete with wooden tables and framed pictures of American landscapes. It was charming in its own way, but it didnât quite mask the fact that this place was anything but authentic.
The menu at Loganâs Roadhouse is extensive, which I thought would be a good thing. You have your standard fare â burgers, steaks, chicken, salads, and sides. But let me tell you, there's nothing more disappointing than finding out that the steak on your plate could very well have been ordered off Temu (a popular online shopping platform for budget-friendly items). Bland. Thin. And in some cases, it was almost as if they forgot to season it at all.
Letâs start with the steaks. I ordered the 12-ounce ribeye, expecting a juicy, flavorful piece of meat that would make my taste buds dance. Instead, what arrived on my plate was a slab of steak so thin you could see through it â and no, not in a good way like a clear-cut filet mignon. This thing was paper-thin, and loaded with an extra helping of fat and grissle. it was almost as if they took a slice of beef and stretched it out to the point where it became more of a protein wafer than an actual steak.
Now, let's talk about flavor. The first bite was a rollercoaster ride for my taste buds. It started off bland, with no discernible seasoning whatsoever. Then, as I continued to chew, I noticed a hint of saltiness that seemed almost overpowering in some areas. It was like someone took a handful of table salt and sprinkled it directly onto the steak. The balance between blandness and over-seasoning was so uneven that it felt more like an experiment than a well-cooked piece of meat.
The service at Loganâs Roadhouse, on the other hand, was quite good. My waiter was friendly and attentive, checking in frequently to make sure everything was up to par. When she noticed my disappointment with the steak, she offered me a new one, which I appreciated, but declined.
The sides, on the other hand, were a pleasant surprise. I ordered sautĂ©ed mushrooms and broccoli, both of which were quite good. The mushrooms had a nice earthy flavor and were cooked just right â not mushy or overdone. The broccoli was crisp and seasoned well, adding some much-needed variety to my meal.
Overall, Loganâs Roadhouse had potential but fell short in several key areas. The atmosphere and service were on point, which made the disappointment with the main course even more pronounced. If youâre looking for a place with decent sides and friendly staff, it might be worth a visit, but donât expect anything extraordinary...
Read moreSo wwe ate dinner here. My wife ordered the Brewskie onion sirloin. I had an old fashioned cheeseburger with an additional patty. My brother-in-law had the 20oz bone-in ribeye. We also had an order of cheese sticks as an appetizer. So there were a few problems with our food. The first being the appetizer came out but the honey mustard had spilled out in the tray coating nearly all of the cheese sticks. Then came the problems with my wife's meal. She ordered her sirloin medium-rare it came out black and blue. My brother-in-law's steak was ordered medium and it came out in between medium and medium-rare. My wife's steak was sent back and the recook came back. It was the same steak but this time over cooked it qas medium on one side and medium well on the side my qife cut jnto thw first time. The manager Roy said he thought they had used a new steak but they had not and he recooked it himself. All this time our waitress Brittany was stupendous. We have had her once before and she was just as good this time. The manager Roy really took care of us. Not only did he compt my wife's steak. He also took care of a portion of my burger since half of it sat there until my wife's food came out correctly. The burger bun had become soggy so he also brought me out another bun that had been cut in half to be used. Sadly after having eatennhalf my burger and then waiting nearly 20 minutes for my wife's food I no longer felt hungry. The atmosphere was up beat and people seemed to be having fun. So over all if I could give a 4.75 I would but since I cannot I am giving a 4. While we enjoyed most of our experience here the problems with the food keep myself from giving a solid 5. Maybe on our next visit it...
Read moreI used to enjoy going here, but the one thing that has ALWAYS made me feel some kind of way is that they ALWAYS sit the black people in the back of the restaurant!!!! My cousin and I went there a few days ago, and it was almost completely empty. The host STILL decided to sit us all the way in the back like for why???? So we decided to go to the bar because we didn't want to sit all the way in the back! When we got to the bar, the bartender was rude and I tried not to take that personally seeing as how I myself work in customer service and understand how annoying and rude other pple may be but shorty was mad rude and short and talked to us as if we did something to her! When she did finally bring us the rolls, they were ROCK hard! What got me was the fact that we were only asked 2 times if we were good. Once while we were eating and then again when they were ready for us to pay. While sitting there eating, 2 white men came in and the bartender wasn't no time seeing what they needed, as well as another white man who was rolls were brought to him within a matter of minutes. It's one thing when it's busy, but it was only a few people in the restaurant, like literally maybe 10! The food was alright. When I asked for corporate's information, I was advised that there wasn't one and I could speak to the manager. While I did ask for corporate's numbers ( speaking as a manager myself), there was no attempt to identify the problem or any type of apology...... this was by far the worst experience I've...
