I hope whom ever reads this enjoys the post and uses this as guidance. I've never had Moe's and from the hype from friends, coworkers and family, it seemed like an amazing place. "Better than Chipotle", some would argue. Even my wife said it's "amazing!" So to start, the atmosphere is busy and crowded. At least they greet you in the line. They're menu is to the point and have the same setup as Qudoba's & Chipotle, just a little more of a variety of things. I ordered the John C. Quesadilla. My wife ordered the Wrong Doug Stack. Equivalent to a Taco Bell's crunchwrap, if you were unfamiliar. To continue, there are about 8-11 employees on the line at any given time, but really only about 4-5 "stations" of ordering. You have the option of a wrap, bowl, tacos, nachos and burritos. Choice of flour or wheat wrap and hard shell tacos and then the rest of the ingredients fall in line. Steak, chicken, pork and ground beef. (Standard proteins ). By the way, every order comes with chips and pico, that'd be nice to know, so save yourself and wallet from ordering extra chips. Stale chips none the less. Who knows how long they've been sitting under the heat lamp dehydrated and unsalted. To bring you into perspective, there are extra people and no communication or organization of roles and responsibilities. Everyone seems to be "training" and just stuck there. It clearly shows that the franchise owner, manager and/or corporate obviously cared more for opening the business rather than putting more time into prep and training. The employees hover over the ingredients and don't know much of the quality of the food nor do they know which item you're asking for. For example, you have to "ask" for everything rather than they "offer" or "suggest" a menu item. There were a few employees who've showed frustration and resentment towards fellow employees, maybe due to them having more experience in a fast paced setting. That, and the lack of knowledge, awareness and training of the newer staff. The impression they give is as if they all just "wait" on to the next guy to do it. To continue, they have seasoned rice or brown rice. The salsas are bland and simple. There's no kick or heat to them. There's grilled/sautéed mushrooms, white onions and poorly chopped green peppers. Then there's the bland 3 cheese blend that comes straight from a bag. Here's something! They offer Queso Blanco, if only it didn't stick to your gums and teeth and was actually served warm at least. Also there's diced jalapeños, 3 or 4 different kinds of salsa mixes, diced tomatoes, lettuce and cilantro. Did I mention no one will describe the difference of them? We and a few customers had to remind the employees who ordered what item because bowls, burritos and tacos were all mixed around different stations. When we finally got our orders, they didn't even know what items came with what condiments. For example, all quesadillas come with a small cup of pico & sour cream. They will try to charge you extra if you aren't vigilant. When my wife received her Stack, it came as flat as my quesadilla. She was not pleased, especially being a loyal customer from other Moe's restaurants. We dined in for our food, and let me tell you, my order fell apart at the first bite. Absolutely everything fell apart and sooner than anything else, my quesadilla turned into (2) soft tacos. A very sad first impression I experienced at a very anticipated restaurant with such high expectation and rating across the nation. I guess I'll head out of town if I really want to try Moe's again. I'm sure they'll get better, I understand that they just opened. Still, if you're going to sell fresh ingredients as you advertise, have the customer service to match. I really hope the managers and owner see this review and take it for what it's worth. A learning experience! Chances of coming back? Ehh... Chances of referring this establishment to a...
Read moreThe night time team is a scam! Our family just learned about this restaurant a few weeks ago. I use to go to Chipotle. We come here and orders for our family 2 adult and 2 kid meals. The black guy at the register was trying to charge us over $30 on Tuesday when kids eat FREE all day as advertised on their window. How is a chicken bowl and 1 nacho come out to $30!! With the treat me deal for queso and a soda, and 1 extra drink. The treat me deal is under $3. Again he over charge for the dinks and queso after over charging and adding extra meals to our order. The second time, supos fixing it, he goes on and over charge us again! Really?? If it was his buddy he would remember that treat me deal is not over $5!! and my son's burrito was 2 inch! Greedy. Been here at night twice, the same 2 black girls and the black man at the register. Second time he didn't give me my recipet and left to the back. If I came here, I'm never coming back at night or if I see this team. Back to Chipotle. Who ever owns this place needs to retrain or replace and somehow make sure all the advertised deals are honored as advertised! Not only if your buddy comes on I'm. And the kids burrito In the picture is false advertising for the night team. A little table spoon at tops of beans and a 1/4 tb of cheese that's it! It looks like 1/4 of the kids burrito picture. During the day team, the burrito is bigger. How is it okay to charge over $4 for a 2inch burrito that looks like a snack for a child! My son ended up eating some of my food which is unusual. You will get chested from food and illegally charged for items you did not purchase. Never been so disappointed at a restaurant's service, this never happens at Chipotle and my kids get way more food. Rice, beans, taco, fruits, and a drink! Not 2...
Read moreSo, my Daughter raved about the food at this restaurant and suggested that we place a to-go order since she's in town visiting on Military leave. Upon calling and attempting to place an order, she was met with a negative attitude filled with disdain from the worker that answered the phone. She asked if she could place a to- go order over the phone, and the worker (a guy) put her on hold, then another worker ( a lady) got on the phone, only to put her back on hold.. but failed to mute the line, and my daughter over heard two ladies and the guy stating "this girl calling talking about placing a to go order, when all she had to do was go online to place a to go order!!" After listening to a very distasteful conversation all because she called to place a TO GO ORDER for her family, which would have been new customers, my daughter hung up. The worker then called my daughter's number back but said nothing and hung up. So, my daughter called back requesting to speak to the manager, she spoke with VERONICA and gave a very detailed description of the conversation she overheard between several workers, simply because she asked to place a TO GO ORDER. Manager VERONICA told my daughter "okay, I'll definitely handle those people" then asked "do you still want to place a to go order?" My daughter said "NO Thank you, I've lost my appetite." Although this is a long review, I wanted to give specific details of the horrible service that was rendered over the phone, all because my daughter wanted to place a TO GO ORDER. I've never been to this restaurant, and as a Travel Consultant in the Corporate industry, after this experience I definitely intend to take my...
