Rally's — Restaurant in Jacksonville

We started getting burgers from Rally's right after they arrived in the area of North Little Rock, many years ago. They turned out to be one of our "go to" places for a fast, yet an almost Homestyle, burger, incredibly tasty Cajun spiced Fries! If you've not eaten there in a while, you still won't leave disappointed in how this little, all- drive-thru, burger stand can turn out your food from order screen to the bag out their window. I've waited longer, inside, for my order from BK-15 minutes- only to pick it up, go to the car, and realize there that this is NOT "my way"- not even close- and just keep it, cuz I am starving, they are clueless, and I'm so not coming back! And here's this little drive-thru kitchen Rally's that just keeps turning out these great, reasonably priced hamburgers just as I ordered them!! When I open the wrapper and remove the top bun, there's actually pieces of lettuce! Fresh! Not wilted or brown, but REAL LETTUCE! And then I saw Tomato slices! A bright red,that actually smelled like 🍅tomatoes! The 3 skinny rings of purple onion were a disappointment, i will admit. Very few Burger Technicians know how to pile on the Onions the way most of us Southern folks like our Onion on burgers. I like to refer to it as " I want some hamburger added to my Onion Burger!!"! Can I get an "Amen!"?? When I order our burgers and I get to the Onions, I say, "I want extra-extra Onions, okay? I want a whole bunch, really deep, pile. 'em on! Make his breath reek of onions!" I seldom get what I order, but I try. The Regular Rally Burger 🍔 is a great, all-round, basic burger. The double beef pattie, double everything inside a bun is called the Big Buford. I haven't tried one, don't plan on ever trying one. Just can't eat that much. Also, they offer Fish sandwiches, Chicken sandwiches, they even offer the not so common, 🌭Hot Dogs! Kid's meal is a Corndog (I think). I offer this one caveat for the Fish Sandwich--- pass on it. It was rather fishy tasting, with a gross after taste. 🤢 I ate a medium fry on the way home- by myself!! So if you like spicy fries.... order them appropriately so that you can have enough to enjoy from the bag, Hot, Hot on your drive home. But also remember those who are waiting for your return home. They're wanting those light, tasty potato sticks to accent their sandwiches also!! So plan ahead!🍟 Their Fried Mozzarella Sticks are tasty as well with the light, breadcrumbs crust, slightly spiced. This is the first spot I wanted to go since moving here a week ago. I have now had two bad experiences with customer service twice from the same employee. Not sure her name, but it’s the light skin black female with the tattoos. She gave attitude last time when I added one more thing at the window, by walking from the back, looking at the cashier who just yelled to her the added order, rolling her eyes and then proceeded to leave out the final added order( a chicken bite box for my kid). I let that go and figured whatever I’ll try them again later when It’s just me and a smaller order. Tonight I rolled up and waited for someone to take my order. I got no response, not even a “I’ll be right with you in a moment “, so after 4 minutes I figured maybe the box is broken. I pulled up to the window after the truck in front of me pulled away and she asking if I had the double champ burgers. I said no I didn’t make my order, I thought the intercom was broken cus I waited for a few minutes and no one said anything. She said well you’re going to have to go around and get back in line cus I don’t want to prolong the other orders by adding yours now. Like…seriously, you’re the one who didn’t take my order after I waited, what else was I supposed to do just keep sitting there until you decided you felt like saying something. And I should have known she would say that, because I could here peoples orders being taken behind me right after I drove up and was waiting for that truck in front of me to leave with their food. Like lady did you remember me from a week ago and decided to get me back for adding an order at the window? And why couldn’t you acknowledge that you didn’t take my order, apologize and just take it there at the window? Anyway, I never leave reviews, so this tells you a lot. Around lunch time today as a walk up there were a few cars in drive thru moving fast!! With just 3 people. I was behind a family of 5, they were so rude to the cashier but she continued to smile and be polite. While moving drive thru!!! He didn’t have any money for his big purchase cursed the cashier and she still remained polite!!! Give that little lady a raise because the way he approached her and the vulgar language?!?!!!! Huh!!!! But anyhow my food was hot and correct with the sweetest service!!! I’ll definitely will be returning!!!!! ————- Update WOW!!! I guess my review doesn’t deserve a response. I said I enjoyed my food with great service. And stated how badly the cashier was treated. Its seems as long as your food gets complemented nothing else matters, WHAT ABOUT YOUR EMPLOYEES???!??? Tbh you have VERY RUDE people and she was so nice even under those extreme circumstances!!!!!! Literally every time she waits on me!!! And the “OWNER” couldn’t give me a response?!?!??
